Skincare workshop in Lisbon that’s perfect to do with friends, for a team building, retreats, birthday parties, etc. 🤩

Loved this workshop with @almamayo.facialist. She taught us so much about the different muscles in our faces, how to work them out to keep our faces looking young and radiant, different gua sha techniques, and so much more. We used products from @eaudemarie_naturalskincare which were amazing! 🥰

Such a fun time with the girls while learning something that we can actually use for the rest of our lives 🙌🏾

I’ve lived in Lisbon for years, and thought I’d seen this city from every angle. I was wrong. 🤯 Dinner in the Sky just landed in Portugal, and what a thrillingly unconventional dining experience. ✨ @dinnerinthesky_portugal @dinnerinthesky_official

We were served welcome cocktails and amuse bouche on the ground, and soon, we were strapped into a chair, lifted 46-50 metres above by an impressive crane, and served a 3-course meal by a chef and a crew at the centre of a floating table.

No walls, no floor, just air, some adrenaline, and that Lisbon panorama around and beneath us.

Was I scared? Yes, genuinely. If there’s any evidence, I was holding hands with my dear friend Rebecca, who was there sharing this incredible experience.

But if there’s anything we learn in life, fear shouldn’t stop us from creating some of the greatest memories in our lives.

And above there in the sky, above the glorious Tagus river, that iconic bridge, that golden hour bathing Lisbon in such a glow, we created a memory that we will never forget.

22 seats, a crew that makes it all so effortless, and that majestic view of Lisbon that’s one for the ages.

Wining, dining and soaring in Lisbon skies make for such an unforgettable memory that we’re super grateful to tell the tale. This made us feel so alive. 🔥

“If you want light to come into your life, you need to stand where it is shining.” ✨ I came across this sometime ago, and I don’t think anything resonates right now more than this piece of truth.

Sometimes we tend to evade the simplest truth right in front of us, of what truly makes us happy, because we don’t realise we’re standing in the shadow.

Freedom, love, joy, creativity, and most importantly, light have all been the driving force of my raison d’être. To live with my own values, under my own terms, to pursue an authentic life as much as possible.

But life isn’t always fulfilling, it isn’t always happiness. Tribulations come, struggles happen, and sadness reminds us of why we’re human after all. That’s the whole point of existence – to embrace all of life’s vast spectrum of experiences.

And it’s times like this that we need to remember the light. The light has always been there – family, friendships, the passions we pursue in life, the delight we share with real people, the dreams that we’ve always longed to dazzle us. We just need to stand and bask in it.

Some things in life has to end for another to begin. And that light at the end of the tunnel might be called “self love”. Whatever it’s called, life teaches us lessons for us to understand that we can step out from the shadows for us to truly shine. 💛

“I contain multitudes,” Walt Whitman wrote in a poem once. It’s been echoed in a film recently, The Life of Chuck, a film I deeply, deeply love, and I cannot think of a much more profound mantra I’ve been having all summer.

It struck me, very deeply, and made contemplate about life, death and everything in between.

You see, the life we’re living contain all the inevitabilities: pain, sorrow, grief, sickness and death, heartbreak and loss, betrayal and sadness, emptiness and longing, and eventually, there’s end to all things. Those are inescapable.

But we also contain many, many other things: joy, love, beauty, light, wisdom, creativity, ideas, friendship, family, connections both real and fleeting, and yes, magic. We contain magic.

Perhaps life’s greatest fulfilment of its evolution is in the way we, humans, achieve and experience joy. Real joy. The kind of uplifting feeling we experience once in a while. That’s the true magic of life. That despite everything, we are always reminded that life is always worth living.

That even when we face mortality, really look at it on its face, we can say we’ve filled our lives with so much experience of joy and laughter and love and tears and happiness, surrounded by the people we love, care and connected with.

And that is enough. That the life get to live is enough, and if we get the chance, we’d do it all over again.

The real magic of life is that we get to live and experience it only once. So, buddy, let’s live it to the best we possibly can, and fill it as much love, light, happiness and hope we possibly can – a whole universe inside us.

Because remember, WE contain multitudes. ✨💛
