I don’t care who fired you How old you are What your family said What you want IS possible. Get clear on your skills and who you want to serve. Then be flexible about how it can show up and buy yourself some time. Life doesn’t go from dream to dream to dream. There are often pit stops and detours along the way that require you to take the scenic route to your destination. The ones who get there are not the smartest or the most talented, but the people who didn’t give up too early. Every time I speak to groups my goal isn’t to inspire, but to rattle something so fiercely that they go home and choose to do something differently. Thank you @womenjournos for the opportunity and partnership. I don’t take it lightly.

Lately, every time I’m on this app I’m bombarded with messages about what I should be angry about. What I can’t have. What’s unjust and unfair. It doesn’t feel like joy or hope has a place here but I wake up with it every day. And each day I’m planting seeds to make things happen despite the odds, the laws, and divisiveness. Guess what? The harvest is coming too. And I have capacity for the deep gratitude that comes with the journey. I believe hope is the pathway to liberation, not negativity. Be careful to what you’re consuming because it starts to stick. Remember… “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t — you’re right.”

Waiting for the yes is even worse than rejection. There’s a difficult space between what you’ve asked for and when it finally arrives.
