What if I started sharing more of the things I intentionally crop out.

Does that make me more real?
Or does it make this shape more scary?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Also. Pray for my coaches. 🤣

So many of my students want to break up with the wall. What if the goal became learning how to use it to get where you want to go?

I’m working toward a freestanding one armed handstand. Right now, the wall gives me room to figure out things I can’t yet do without it. That’s progress, too.

Every practice involves the wall in some way. Having bigger goals doesn’t mean I’ve outgrown his support.

Paul the Wall has always been there for me. Why does he get such a bad rap?

The most common thing missing from people’s practice isn’t discipline. It’s not strength. It’s not a lack of trying.

The most common thing that is missing is ease. Relaxing into the shape and having fun with it.

If you’ve been practicing drill after drill but can’t remember the last time you smiled. It’s worth asking yourself.

How can you find ease and enjoyment again? Because without that, is it even worth it?

I have one spot opening for coaching at the end of this month for either in-person or virtual. DM me if you’re ready to make this fun again.

I’m a little bit brave.
A little bit crazy.
And a lot of bit drama queen.

And I’m ok with that.

Pray for my coaches though. They need your prayers.

Little reminder:

It’s a privilege to do hard things.
To be tired from something I’ve chosen.
To struggle for something I want.
To choose to show up courageously and powerfully.
Hard doesn’t always mean bad.

But….

I’m also grateful to make it off of these things in one piece.
Balancing on tiny blocks of wood that are 13 inches off the ground isn’t for the faint of heart.

That is all.
Carry on.

What if this practice isn’t a it the shape at all?

What if the shapes are just here to teach us to drop our stories and step into freedom.

I’ve decided to add one coaching spot to my current calendar. If you’d like it, DM me before I change my mind. 😂

Today I practiced when I didn’t want to practice.

Today I found ways to catch myself before I fell.

Today’s progress isn’t obvious from the outside looking in.

But here’s the thing.

Making progress requires me to stop chasing the things that impress everyone around me and start paying attention to my internal experience.

My exact location in space.
The engagement of tiny muscles.
The split second when I know I’m falling—and what I do next.

And maybe most importantly, trusting myself in ways I’ve never trusted anyone before.

I hate to break it to you…
But not all growth is visible.

So keep being curious. Keep showing up.

The most powerful growth isn’t the kind that is going to impress a crowd. But by gosh, I hope you impress yourself.

WORKSHOP IN AUSTIN TX!

We train the splits because they train the hip, not because we NEED a full range split. Let’s keep that clear; the hip can only do so many actions and by training front and middle splits, we hit a lot of those actions.
