🌹7 months loc’d & enjoying the journey 😆

First braidout was a success ✅

This set of locs is nothing like my first! These girls require a different type of love & energy 😅 I’ve been palm rolling them but I’m thinking about switching to interlocking 🤔 What y’all think? 🌹

🌹5 months loc’d as of today 🌹 1/11/2026 🌹

Slide 1: June | Wash & Retwist
Slide 2: May | in Nashville
Slide 3: April | ft Emmy Cat 🤣
Slide 4: March | Wash & Retwist
Slide 5: February | Wash, No Retwist
Slide 6 & 7: January 13th | 1st Day Styling them

This is set #2 & I’m loving the journey so far!!! 🥰 Combed out the first set to release some energy and fall back in love with my hair. We back & we better!

This set is MUCH smaller than my first so we’ll see how this goes! For now, I’m palm rolling them but eventually I’ll try out interlocking.

It’s finally hot outside (consistently) so it’s time to get creative with the style! 🤩

Highlight of the week 🌹

Rooted in wisdom, creativity and insight; we have Rose, Curator Of Rose Realm!
Rooted in Rose is back with more gems about BOOKS📚
Helping us elevate our minds through intellectual and historical text.

Rose Marie recently reported about Henrietta Lacks during her #BlackHistoryMonth series🌹

“This image shows Henrietta Lacks, a Black woman whose cells were taken without her knowledge or consent in 1951. Those cells, HeLa cells, became foundational to modern medicine, and contributed to breakthroughs in cancer treatment, vaccines, and reproductive health.

While the world benefited, her family was kept in the dark for DECADES. Their story is documented in “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” which shows the human cost of medical research done without consent.

Honoring Henrietta Lacks means telling the truth and demanding ethical, informed care today. Honoring her means demanding transparency, consent, and justice in healthcare.

Consent matters. Truth matters. Black lives matter 🌹
