Our editors have picked the ten hotels rewriting the luxury experience in Spain this year. Reviews for each are over on the website.

The collection includes a 19th-century fortress above Palma Bay, and a farmhouse in the UNESCO-listed Tramuntana.

Save this for your next escape, and tell us in the comments which you’d book first.

Reservations are now open at @waldorfastorialondon Admiralty Arch, the first time in the building’s history that anyone has been able to stay the night, writes @rossfraser_

Commissioned by Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and completed in 1912, the Arch was designed by Sir Aston Webb, the architect behind the Buckingham Palace façade it now faces down The Mall. After more than a century as government offices, it reopens this autumn with 114 rooms, suites and residences, including the Nelson Suite, with a private terrace at the top of the Arch.

The restaurants bring eight Michelin stars’ worth of pedigree between them: Clare Smyth opens Coreus in the former home of the First Sea Lord, while Daniel Boulud returns to London with a rooftop Café Boulud overlooking St James’s Park. Below, a spa with a hydrotherapy pool sits beneath the Arch itself, and a 3,540 sq ft ballroom is reached by the building’s original oval staircase.

The hotel opens in autumn this year, with reservations now open for stays from March 2027.
