Great weekend, even better people

On Friday, I did my first ever hyrox in Toronto.
I competed in the men’s pro division. Tons of fun getting to compete. Learned a lot, looking forward to the next one. Shoutout to Geoff for coming up to Toronto.

A few more pics: Dolomites, Slovenia, Bled Castle Sierre-Zinal, me talking to the “best of the best” hoping they’d tell me something, anything validating how hard the race was!! These guys are my idols. 🤩🤩 heehee they thought who is this mom??

The journey to the Sierre-Zinal race started from Couermayer italy to Tignes France to Chamonix, soaking up as much altitude as possible. Sammy was the best race support meeting me along the course for extra nutrition and cheering. 🤩 I missed my last cutoff time by 4 minutes 😔. At that point they took my timing chip, I literally burst into tears and immediately felt like an all time loser. But overall I thought I had a good race (until then) some cramping for a time between the Tignousa (2184m) and Hotel Weisshorn (2337m) cutoffs slowed me down a bit…. But oh well. Now it just leaves me very unsettled and frustrated. And wishing I had taken my phone for photos, since I wasn’t really racing anymore. it was beautiful in the hot altitude sunny mountains. Afterwards headed to the Refugio Carducci in the Dolomites to be continued…
