HOUSE!!!

3 years ago, spent eveything I had and took a risk of venturing on my own in business.

When it feels right in your gut, you go ALL IN!!!!

From rebuilding a gym in 36 hours at our old space on McLean, to moving and setting up an entire gym in 1 day at our space now…it’s been a wild ride (with the help of so many amazing people !!)

Business isn’t for everyone, and many tears have been shed over the years but I wouldn’t change it for the world !!!

Thanks to everyone who has been apart of this journey. Grateful for all of you!!

❤️ House of Trainers, for the clients, built by the trainers ❤️

We’re so grateful for @teagan_johnstone @savannada19 @isparcbc for coming to teach the @coach.ca Aboriginal Coaching Module (ACM) today. We’re also grateful to the coaches and officials who contributed today as well in making today a very emotional, rich, and enlightening, opportunity for personal growth and development.

It’s so inspiring to connect with individuals who are all collectively working towards the decolonization of the physical health education and sports ecosystem to be more inclusive, safe, accessible, and equitable into our own programs within our communities.

Today was confirmation that we’re on the right path 🫶🏽❤️

A little late but here’s our recap of @vikingsweightliftingclub’s Ogopogo Championship a couple of weekends ago in Kelowna ☀️

This year we had five juniors and three seniors make the trip up where we all stayed at a lovely AirBnB in Lake Country. It was a really nice place to connect over team BBQ’s, pool time, and watching the meteor shower on the Saturday night ☄️

Coach @sara.moves and coach @anthony.agtarap coached the team together with several of them hitting or matching PR’s. It was a really good day 🤗

Scarlett Junior f45 🥈
@amaya.a010 Junior f55 🥉
Charlotte Junior f55 🥇and best youth 🏆
Madeleine Junior f59 comp PR 🙌🏽
@aresdamartian Junior m67 first comp in a new category 🙌🏽
@jkasuya masters f87+ 🥈
@perpetual.conflict senior m96 1st competition & CJ PR 🙌🏽
@shervinshadloo senior m81 1st competition & PR’s 🙌🏽

The team also took home best junior team 🏆 and 3rd place Women’s Team 🏆

Special thanks to @vikingsweightliftingclub and their volunteers for their hospitality and for putting on another well run competition 🙏🏽👊🏽❤️

Our @bcweightlifting sanctioned competition is the last qualifier for the upcoming @weightlifting_canada_haltero Junior National Championship and several athletes embraced the opportunity and qualified too 🤗

This year we had 11 kids compete from our program with three of them being their first time ever 🤩

Amaya f55 🥈first comp PR’s in both lifts
Lainey f59 🥈C&J and total PR
Maddy f59 🥉PR’s in both lifts and total
Side note the f59 was an exciting battle with @vikingsweightliftingclub @kenna_lynn7895 taking 🥇with PR’s of her own. All three of the f59 athletes had qualified for Junior Nationals too.
Ares (Anemone) f64 🥇 and Best Female Lifter 🏆 (qualified for Junior Nationals)

Coach @sara.moves and Coach @anthony.agtarap couldn’t be more proud of all the kids and the program we’ve built over the years ❤️

Participating in youth sport is not always accessible to everyone due to the financial barrier that exists. This is especially the case as the youth athlete matures and enters higher-level competitions like National Championships or even International events.
We understand the challenges with supporting athletes in their aspirations to compete at higher-levels so over the years, our youth/junior programs have raised money to support our aspiring youth/junior athletes in their sport through community fundraiser events and by hosting our annual Youth/Junior Spring Open which is a @bcweightlifting sanctioned event. This year’s Youth/Junior Spring Open is on Saturday, May 11 @engineeredbodies and we’re expecting another great turnout for it this year. We’re excited that we’ve got a great line up of community sponsors for our event too!

One of our sponsors is @brave.tales who’ll be hosting us on a collaborative fundraising event for the next three weekends. Simply come down to @brave.tales and donate $10 to our cause for a chance to win $100. All you have to do to win is hang on our bar for 2 minutes. It’s tougher than it looks but your efforts and generosity will help support our youth/junior athletes compete at higher-level competition in their sport.

We’ll be at @brave.tales for the following days and times:
✅ Saturday, April 20 TODAY between 1pm and 5ish
✅ Saturday, April 27 between 1pm and 5ish
✅ Sunday, April 28 between Noon and 5ish
✅ Sunday, May 5 between 1pm and 5ish

Come down @brave.tales today and hang out with us and maybe win $100 🤑

Thanks to @brave.tales for your support 🙏🏽❤️

#tbt to another successful Junior Provincial Weightlifting Championship where the EBW Juniors competed alongside the strongest kids from clubs all over the province.
Lots of PR’s and attempts at PR’s were taken individually but more importantly, the kids came together and supported each other as a team.

It’s an honor to be able to work with these kids each week and witness their development. Looking forward to their next @bcweightlifting sanctioned event which is our 3rd annual Youth/Junior Spring Open scheduled for May 11th @engineeredbodies . Keep an eye out for registration as it will open soon 👍🏽👊🏽
