Run by @annalounguine and @guerrillaboy Current research WATER HISTORIES: A CASE STUDY OF THE BLACK SEA

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m starting the last few months of my degree tomorrow so I decided to do a belated 2022 post lol..

Frankie and I have a lil tradition of getting a cake with a candle to celebrate pretty much anything.. in 2022 I got to celebrate a lot of firsts in art so it deserved the first pic lol

(2) The first group show I was in - Ones to Watch 2022 at @sunnybankmills. Such an amazing experience!! Being quite a superstitious person, I wrote a few open call applications while looking at the exhibition lol.

(3) one of those applications being for @uknewartists Derry-Londonderry residency, curated by @makschram, hosted by @ccadld
It was 3 days of really thought provoking conversations, working in a new way and rethinking what language meant to us.
@arraystudios workshop was my first time making a banner which happened to become an art making style that stuck with me..

(4) then I got rewarded a studio residency at @spinningmillstudios following the Ones to Watch exhibition! It was really lovely to temporarily share a space with professional artists who were so welcoming. Really thankful for the advice they gave me and for the encouragement to apply to @ruralartsnorthyorks Fresh 2022 exhibition - which was my second group show.

(5) 2022 marked 50 years of Pride in the UK, which sparked us to do a banner making workshop at @hydeparkbookclub - and eventually form @holditupcollective

(6) First research trip! A wonderful weekend of conversations about art and the sea, working a lot with sound

(7) First residency in my home city of Sofia @schoolofkindness. Met lovely people and had amazing conversations through this residency ❤️

(8) Made a second video to Naturalisations with @_arterra_ , this time shot in Sofia. @teodora.has.a.story interviewed me as part of @story_tap Dec 2021, and introduced me to the bulgarian art scene so it felt so nice to work together

(9) a photoshoot with @ivelinaberova ❤️

(10) my first solo show at @avrtikl who were so supportive and helpful with everything! So heartwarming to have a show in my hometown that my family could come to, and even more so for my mom to be a part of the process ❤️

A lovely year, feeling really grateful 💐💐💐

This years @schoolofkindness is over. Congrats and thanks to @guerrillaboy & @annalounguine as well as all participants and mentors for making it happen. It was so great to be back in Sofia and serve you with my Mish-Mash catering. I’m especially happy revisitig @swimmingpoolprojects with the dinner ceremony prepared alltogether with the generous group of students. It’s the place where I started considering cooking and hospitality as parts of my curatorial practice and it will have a special place in my heart 4ever. Thx @viktoriadraganova_ for hosting us 💕

Can’t wait to come back again 😘 Cya

Last but not least, thanks to @polskiinstitutsofia for the support 🇵🇱

Today was the start of @schoolofkindness residency in Sofia. It’s going to be a series of workshops, seminars, lectures and collaborative works around the notion of a ‘barbarian’.
This is my first residency in my home town of Sofia, and it feels exciting to be engaging with so much art while at home. Looking forward to the next 9 days :)
