His vows… were everything. 🥹
I dreamt of this day since I was a little girl. He put into words what most people can only feel.

I’ve been through a lot in my past, and like every woman, I once dreamed of that perfect wedding day. Truthfully, I never had that before. And I say this not out of ungratefulness, but those who know me… know what I’ve been through.

There came a point in my life when I stopped searching and simply surrendered. I surrendered to God, Allah SWT, the Almighty and said, “I’m okay with whatever You’ve given me. I trust You. I’m happy. Even if my dreams never come true, I know You know what’s best.”

And the moment I let go, God brought me Michael. ❤️

Our wedding was small, intimate, and so full of love. From the venue to the food, the speeches, the dances every detail felt divinely aligned. My kids’ speech melted my heart, and my husband’s… it was everything. 🥹 at that moment in my heart, it was as if God was speaking to me, to us, “ see I told you I didn’t forget you, I’ve always been here for you, watching you, taking care of you, preparing you for this day, I was listening to all your prayers all along.” ( it truly felt that way).

I share this video, not to show off, or feel proud, but this video is for all the women and men out there: PLEASE never stop believing in yourself. Never give up on life. Always have faith in God. Have patience. And Surrender. Trust him completely, and let him take care of you, because he will. Maybe not on your time, but on his. This timing of Michael coming into my life, couldn’t have had been any better. I promise you, believe in God. He will pull you through if you have faith.

While we were walking around Lisbon on our honeymoon, people couldn’t quite figure out if Michael was Portuguese or not.
They’d look at him, try to guess… and then when he started speaking fluent Portuguese, the surprise on their faces was priceless 😂

It made me realize how diverse Portugal really is.
Because of its long history — from the Moors to all the trade and travel that shaped this place — there isn’t just one “Portuguese look.” Everyone’s got their own unique mix.

Marriage isn’t about fighting over who’s right or wrong. It’s about moving forward together.

✈️ Right before our honeymoon, Air Canada was about to strike. I thought we should wait and see what would happen, but Seher trusted her gut and booked Air Transat tickets. In the end, she was right — and if she hadn’t acted, we would’ve missed our trip to Portugal.

That moment reminded me of an important marriage lesson. Real love isn’t about keeping score. It’s about partnership, humility, and knowing when to follow the one you love. 💛
