🛡️ LET’S BUILD A TRUSTED SELLER LIST! 🛡️

Every few months, I ask the comic book community to help me put together a list of trusted sellers here on Instagram.

Why? Because protecting collectors AND supporting honest, reputable sellers is good for everyone in this community. 🤝

👇 Tag a comic seller in the comments that you’ve personally purchased from and trust. Tell us who they are and, if you want, share a quick reason why you recommend them.

I’ll be pinning this video to my page so it can serve as a reference for collectors looking for reputable sellers.

Let’s help each other buy, sell, and collect with confidence. And remember: do your own due diligence before sending anyone money.

Thank you to everyone who contributes! ❤️

Superman #27
DC Comics, 3-4/44
CGC 9.0 (White pages)
Wayne Boring cover and interior art
Only 6 Copies Graded Higher on CGC census

Another Golden Age gem joins the ToddFather collection, this one Superman #27 in a CGC 9.0, graded with White Pages and a beautifully presenting yellow cover- some of the best of the Golden Age of Superman! Just flipped through the pictures in this post to see some of the greatest yellow Superman covers in the collection! Make sure you’re seated, because this will be a SUPER treat! This issue features the second appearance of the Toyman (Winslow Schott), who debuted just months earlier in Action Comics #64 in September 1943.

In a very 1944 type super-villain plot, Toyman’s scheme in this one has him designing coin machines that will make him rich and devices that will give him revenge on Superman- rigged arcade-style gadgets, as opposed to world domination. Of course in this story, Lois Lane is once again kidnapped. It was a common plot tool overused in early Superman stories. In fact, this issue of Superman #27 is Lois Lane is kidnapped for the 28th time! Don’t forget, Superman’s concurrently running series, Action Comics, added to the tally.

This book hit newsstands for a dime on March 10, 1944, right in the middle of WWII, when Superman comics were a fixture on the home front and even had special Overseas Service Editions printed for troops abroad. Such copies were distributed by the United States Army’s Special Service Division for troops abroad — a reminder of just how central Superman was to WWII-era morale.✨

Reunited again!!!! Here’s the full story!!! Huge thank you to Mike @mike_s4za_collects for this book back in my PC again. I raffled this book last year in April 2025 when I needed funds for my leaky roof that cost thousands and thousands of dollars which was having leaks and termite issues and cracks in the house. And so I raffled a bunch of Stan Lee comic signed comic books to help fund it and now 16 months later, I’m reunited with this book. The reason why I love this book so much is because I spent five hours in line waiting to get Stan Lee’s signature And I remember I was in line and I was the next one to get him to this book signed by him only to be told by his handler that he’s going to take a break. Well, that break ended up being three hours as Stan Lee took a nap. I can’t blame the guy. He was 95 years old at the time However I still waited and waited and waited and my wife was waiting with me and she got sick of it and she said I’m gonna go home, but this was one of the rare books that I wanted to get back not because of the first appearance of carnage, but because I put blood sweat and tears waiting five hours to get this signed by the man himself Stan Lee. And it’s just a sentimental memorable book for me that will stay back in my PC for about 20 years or so because I really love the cover and I love that I chose the silver ink for Stan Lee and Mark Bagley to sign thank you so much for working with me Mike!!! reunited again and it feels so good!!!!!
