We're delighted to announce that following a very successful Pop-up Shop for Palestine, New Ross for Palestine will be sending €1775 to each of our 3 chosen charities in the coming days, Gaza Go Bragh, Gaza Ground Aid for Mothers & New Babies and the Sameer Project. Well done to everyone involved from start to finish, it was ABSOLUTELY well worth all the effort.

We held our Voices from the Global Sumud event in New Ross on Wednesday evening. With close to 100 people in attendance, they came to listen to eyewitness accounts from both County Wexford's Adam Fitzhenry and Tom Deasy who travelled up from County Cork.

They led us on their journey from how they applied for the Flotilla, the preparation of the boats and what day to day life onboard was like, prior to the intimidatory Israeli drone surveillance began in International waters. They described how their boats were boarded by the IOF and how they were abducted at gunpoint. They were stripped of their outer clothes and detained on large prison ships, where Flotilla activists were verbally, physically & some sexually abused.

Then they were transported to Ashdod, imprisoned again, where the aforementioned abuses continued unabated. Those is need of medical attention and medicines were denied treatment. Flotilla activists tore up their own clothing to use as bandages and as temporary slings. Food was scarce and what was supplied was barely edible. The Irish activists went on hunger strike.
For the majority of their time while in illegal detention, the activists were left kneeling on the ground with their hands zip-tied behind their backs, in a back-breaking torture position, all the while being taunted, verbally and physically abused and having to listen to the Israeli national anthem on repeat.

While this was happening, shamefully the Irish Dáil voted against the bill proposing Sanctions against the State of Israel.

Only when video coverage of Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir was posted, showing his taunting of the abducted Flotilla activists, was there any significant worldwide outrage and diplomatic condemnation.

Shamefully, the Irish Media have given scant reporting before, during or since the illegal abductions of the flotilla activists.

After a question & answers session,
the evening ended with a standing ovation for both speakers.
We would like thank both Adam & Tom for sharing their emotional, powerful and moving accounts of their Flotilla experience.

If you get an opportunity to hear from any of the Flotilla activists, we highly recommend doing so.

Instagram doesn't seem to like us today, no matter how many times I've tried to share yesterdays vigil post, they will not let it be shared. Anyway let's see if they'll leave this post up. Please let us know if you can see it.

💚 The programme is finally here! 💚

This Saturday, 27 June, we’ll be coming together for a day of talks, workshops, movement, music, cooking, community, and fundraising to help save the Heartstone cows. This is an online event and free to attend, you have to register though (link in bio) as space is limited due to Zoom capacity.

A huge thank you to our speakers, sponsors, prize donors, volunteers, and everyone who has donated, shared a post, sent a message, or helped spread the word. Every single act of support has helped us reach more people and keep this campaign moving forward.

There is still time to enter the remaining prize draws. Simply donate through the fundraiser and follow the instructions on the relevant prize posts.

If raffles aren’t your thing but you’d still like to help, please visit @heartstonesanctuary ’s IG page and donate directly via the link in their bio.

The situation remains urgent, and more support is still needed to secure the cows‘ future.

Please keep sharing. Tell your friends. Reach out to vegan groups, organisations, businesses, and anyone who may be able to help. Sometimes all it takes is one person seeing the right post at the right time.

We remain hopeful that a larger donor or organisation may come forward, and until then we will keep doing everything we can, together.

Thank you for standing with the Heartstone cows 💚🐄

You may or may not be aware, that the Republic of Ireland are due to play Israel in the Nations League on 27 September at a neutral venue.
The Republic of Ireland are also due to host the Israeli team in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on 4 October.

Our Government & the FAI are ignoring calls from the Irish football community, which include the Professional Footballers Association of Ireland (PFAI) and Irish Football Supporters Partnership (IFSP), for the FAI to refuse to participate in the proposed matches against Israel, scheduled for 27 September and 4 October in protest on legal and moral grounds.

Our Government has stated that it supports the FAI's decision to partake in the upcoming soccer internationals against Israel. Our Government and the FAI are out of step with the people they say they represent.

We oppose the FAI whitewashing the genocide of the Palestinians. After more than two years of live-streamed genocide against the Palestinian people, apartheid Israel must not be allowed to use sport to normalise its crimes. If these games do go ahead, which hopefully they won't, we appeal to the Republic of Ireland football supporters to stay at home & boycott these matches.

Original post:

🇵🇸 Yoga & Coffee Social for Palestine

Thank you to the lovely group who joined us
@kellysonthecornerfoodyard for our last yoga & coffee social this side of the summer.

To mark the last social, we held it as a fundraiser for Gaza and to stand (& flow) in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their fight for their freedom.

Together, with the donations from those who attended and those who couldn’t make it but still gave so generously, we raised €350.

Every cent has been donated directly to:
@thesameerproject - specifically their food & water project to help them towards their goal of getting their own desalination plant. (Screenshots attached)

Thank you to everyone who joined, donated and shared. Also a huge thanks to @brone.pastrylab who supplied free pastries and coffee for everyone who attended.

Keep showing up, keep posting, keep boycotting and doing whatever we can. Thank you again & Free Palestine🕊️

Officially registered my business as Apartheid Free Zone ✌️

I’ve pledged to support the BDS campaign that aims to help Palestinians to win their freedom. I’ve been actively boycotting since 2023 but wanted to do something to make it more “official” so here we are.

If you want to do the same, go to apartheidfree.ie to register your business, organisation or club. There are a lot of resources on their website also.
