Folks, we are headed to the desert wilds of Phoenix, AZ! Come look for us at @fotoforumaz this Friday and Saturday, Oct 2 - 3. We will have all the latest, including the eminently drool-worthy 12-20 F2.8 and the silent assassin known as the @tamronamericas 35-100 F2.8. Which captured this image of the entire @yellowstonenps Old Faithful eruption on a single frame...

See you at the Forum 😎

How does one fit so much joy on one table? Very carefully 😎 @tamronamericas and @tamronrm are here at @englewoodcamera today and tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, 8/21 and 8/22! Exclusive pricing is cool. Free firmware updates are cool. But the glass is the actual bomb. It's nearly 100° out. Come in come in come in...

@bozemancamera and @tamronamericas ventured into the deep wilds of Montana for a starlight workshop in Bannack State Park, once the capital city of the great Montana Territory. I never work starlight without our #F045 SP 45mm f/1.4. While discontinued, the F045 remains arguably the finest autofocus 35mm f/1.4 prime ever made, including the modern mirrorless mods. Some lenses are simply worth adapting.

Masonic Temple and primary school. Established 1874.
35mm, f/1.4, 25sec IS0 3200 single shot.

Prelim edit and the middle image of a tryptic in the works.

Fun fact: the Bannack lodge is still in use by the modern freemasons as an historic space. Simply brilliant.

Thanks, as always, goes to Bozeman Camera for their collaboration and general awesomeness. And to the Bannack State Park authority for permitting us this privilege. This is our 2nd annual starry skies workshop in the park. We hope to continue the tradition, in 2027 😎

Few things represent time like wheeling stars and a geothermal cycle that has long held its own level of fascination for the variants of hominid crossing the caldera through the ages. Capturing the full eruption of Old Faithful in a single frame under the stars has been in the back of my mind since I started running film labs in the 90s. I fell in love with photography because of its chronology, the way we can capture and study time, moments literally upon moments... Such as 90 seconds of Old Faithful expressing herself in Mother Nature's language, reminding those watching of the significance found within our insignificance. Awe is often silent because it listens.

@tamronamericas #A078 35-100 f/2.8 VXD at 35mm, f/5.6, 90sec, ISO 400 on Nikon Zf. Tamron-LINK Astro Focus Lock was used. Made my life so much simpler in the dark.

These are phone edits, not finals but... Had to share.
One at rest. One full tilt. Most satisfying.

Did you know that most of @tamronamericas mirrorless lenses recently had a firmware update? It's to allow support and integration for the Tamron-LINK Bluetooth module for wireless lens control! You should be doing your updates, either way, though. Let us finesse what was a
lready great into something better 😎

We're here at @pictureline SLC! Bring your babies in and we'll take care of them. photoX Outdoor imaging expo continues! 10a to 2p today! #withmytamron #lensparty #realcamerastores #pictureline #photographer

This is Waylon. At 8 months, he is the pup of the three shop dogs at @wyomingcamera in Casper, WY. He had just awakened from his nap when we grabbed this floor level portrait with the new #A078 35-100 f/2.8 VXD. Which, in hindsight, may have been a bit rude 🌈

Handsome lad 😎 (we did apologize)

This is the last day of the three day @tamronamericas event with Wyoming Camera Casper! We have sold out of the 35-100 (and 18-300 for Canon and Nikon!) but we'll put you on the waiting list! Do stop by before 4p... That's when I get sent packing!

Thanks to Wyoming Camera for the hospitality and for 12 years of partnership!

Saying goodbye to the Rocky Mountain region as I head east to work with my counterpart, Patty, who is the absolute queen of all she surveys from the eastern seaboard into the middle-eastern US. We'll be visiting a veritable slate of stores in a few different states (it's so weird for me to say that, coming from the land of Giant Square States), showcasing the Tamron-LINK Bluetooth module for wireless lens control and it's integration with the Tamron Lens Utility mobile app. Patty is one of my pedestal people in our industry. It will be an honor to work with her and her stores.

Attached: Washington Monument by infrared.
@tamronamericas 50-300 at 118mm, f/8, for 3min ish at ISO 100. A bucket list image I was thrilled to pull off. Our lenses are well known in the IR and full-spectrum community as we have a reputation for performing very well on their sensors or behind their filtration. Just another reason why Tamron rocks 😎

See you out east!

Saturday's @westcottlighting workshop with @tamronamericas at @tempecamera was fantastic. We were testing the new @tamronamericas 35-100 f/2.8 VXD, arriving in the market on 3/26! Good lighting + good glass = fantastic images and this lens slayed the room. These captured are SOOC with zero post production.

@mackkluvuu and @rociio.vlz are each stunning models in their own right, perfect collaborators for those who were behind the frame. Many thanks to both of them for bringing the smoke and center to the studio.

This ends our current swing in AZ! Off to CO, UT, and CA over the next two weeks! Keep an eye out for where we plan to be. Thanks to Tempe Camera for the love, as always. We had a blast.

See you in the field! -M
