WOW... It had been almost a year since I'd put one of these on and last night has fully reminded me how valuable this community is. I started this three years ago with a few mates who wanted to give it a go, and I could not be prouder of the audience we have built. It's a safe space with a huge variety of people, and everyone is there to have FUN. I cannot thank you all enough for the support, love and energy you continue to show to this project. My heart is full ❤️ This was a huge team effort, so big shouts to: DJs @badly_drawn_banana @dekk_sudiarta @shawkdnb PHOTOS @northsheen.photo POSTER @elizabeth.ofarrelly PROMO @jackn0ry @kimi_s_c @oliver.churm @hannahbeck111 DOOR @ellen__brierton And the security and staff @avaloncafebermondsey - one of the best spaces in London and a quality team. Keep an eye out for more soon... LONG LIVE GRASSROOTS 😤😤😤

INTRODUCING @shawkdnb SHAWK has been involved with How It Started since day one, holding it down with soulful and expertly flowing sets, and has been instrumental to the growth of the event. A known name in the Glasgow Drum & Bass scene, they have played regular sets for @midnightbassdnb , @pray.to.good and more, including our one off Glasgow How It Started, in collaboration with @hometownsoundsystem and @watersidelive. With SHAWK now moving abroad, it's an honour to have them close for a proper How It Started send off. If you've been to a night before, this is the time to come through to show your love to a proper member of the How It Started family. ❤️❤️ @avaloncafebermondsey LINK IN BIO
