I love when you ask where I got my wallpaper from, it lets me know that I’m doing something right!!!! The fact that you have to ask, let’s me know that I need to work a little harder to get the word out about my new home decor brand @showplacedrive!!!! Aaaarghh, the introvert in me needs a push!!! Anyway, this is an original design from our Homebase Collection. Help me share it and all of the other renter friendly peel and stick designs in this collection. Thank you!!!!

Showplace Drive is named after the street where my grandmother lived, and where so much of what I believe about making a home began. I love that I get to take those ideas and create something that neither she nor I ever would have expected. I’m learning a lot as I’m building, and honestly, that’s the fun and rewarding part. Today is my grandmother’s birthday. I wish she were here to see what those early lessons turned into, I have a feeling she’d get a kick out of all of this. Happy birthday, Grandma. Look what you started girlie!!

This Homecoming, bring your colors home. Search Party: Campus Life is our collection of playable word search shower curtains inspired by the colors and legacy of the Divine Nine. Each colorway is inspired by a specific organization, with hidden words drawn from its history, heritage, and culture. Choose your colors, search for the words, and give your guests something to discover instead of searching your medicine cabinet!!! Know someone who would recognize their colors? Send this to them!! And if this is your organization, tag someone who needs to see it. You don’t always need a renovation or a bunch of new furniture. Sometimes you just need a better way to see the space. That’s exactly what my consultations are for. We’ll look at what’s not working, explore what could work, and create a clear direction for your space. You don’t even need to live in New York , booking a virtual session is just as thorough. Ready to rethink your space? Book your consultation through the link in my bio.

Lately: laughter is definitely the best medicine. Lately: Clean hands, dirty little secret!! This shower curtain has some naughty words on it. Check out the new shower curtain drops on @showplacedrive. This one is called naughty, naughty! But rest assured there are several clean versions… Lately: UMmm the Mj party at Fort Greene Park was a vibe!!! My favorite MJ song is The Lady in My Life. I actually walked down the aisle to it a lifetime ago. What’s yours? Lately: I got to model for my friend @samfinebeauty ‘s makeup class, and once again he sent me out with only one eye done!!!!!! Yes, I looked crazy for the entire rest of the day!!! Lately: I almost had a heart attack at the hardware store!! I bet you did too!! I can’t seem to get away from Ratatouille!!! Lately: Outside way past my bedtime! Lately: Summer in the City!!!!! I’m not ready for it to end. Lately: I think we found the doorway created by the rats that are running things in my garden. It’s time to board it up and shut ish down!!!!!!! Lately: the new boxes are in and it’s still hard to believe that I founded a whole brand!!!! Give the page a follow!!! Xx @showplacedrive

June has proven that it’s a blonde summer! My first archery lesson was popping!! literally 10/10 After working tirelessly for about a year and spending hours upon hours, surrounded by piles of print samples in a studio that I haven’t had time to finish, I managed to launch a brand!! @showplacedrive is live follow and check out what I’ve been working on. My Brother caught a glimpse of my studio (I think he could see that I was a little overwhelmed). He urged me to build it out myself, gave me a pep talk, sent some how-to videos and a box of tools to get the job done. I’m gonna build a couple of simple drawers and hang shelves this week. Thanks big bro!! Finally got to meet the artist @malene.barnett I fan-girled a bit and told her that I got a rug from her ruggable collection. Check out her work if you haven’t!! 😍 @alexlamarsh and I have our traditions from city to city and this is one of them 🌭 it’s a good one. 🤭😜🩷 Visited one of the most unique homes in Brooklyn. It’s a magical place created by an artist and interior designer with a beautiful imagination @virginiesommet. 🤍 Protect Brooklyn at all costs. I mean seriously. An 8:20pm police call from a neighbor on a Saturday trying to break up a joyful backyard party is diabolical! White party with my wodies 🤍😇 😇 Connecting with other blondes from the tribe. It’s a blonde summer always…. @nixa0711

This is your reminder that it gets worse before it gets better!!!! I’ve been building out my studio for the past few months and it is very much still a work in progress. This studio is my workspace, my creative home, and the headquarters for my new brand @showplacedrive . It has to work hard and it has to feel good, and I’m figuring out how to do both on a really tight budget. I’ve been sourcing from Marketplace, taking my time, learning what I actually want and need in terms of storage and functional items. I found a tiny dishwasher that solved a big problem (I hate washing dishes). I saw a cute little fireplace on marketplace that was a steal so I snagged it to give the space instant coziness, (it will anchor a storage solution that I’m currently figuring out). I’m slowly settling into the studio and noticing where I like to perch, depending on the time of day. I find myself wanting to work in the sunniest spot of the studio during the day and then I’ll bunker down at the desk in the evening and pop on an inspiring episode (hi @eclecticmilieu). There’s no getting around the fact that the space is going to look messy until I find storage to put things away!!! Luckily, I know that these things take time, it’s part of the process and patience is key.
