Paris backstage action with @fashionforwardparis ..article coming soon to @so.edited.co 💋

Skin lit from within. Cheeks sculpted by shadow and glow, a soft haze drifting across the lid. Lips beautifully defined and softly dewed lead by the wonderful @michellewebbmakeup with team @aofmakeup
Paired with a glossy, polished pony, the look felt elegant, strong and timeless...
To the beauty team, whose hands turned every face into quiet poetry you made the backstage glow before the lights ever came up.
I caught up with Aubrey Loots @lootypics @aubreyshairadventures about the look for the day using @sebastianpro_official ... 💋

Light over darkness. @sarahregensburger_official DIASPORA — the art of belonging — is a love letter to her Iranian heritage and to everyone who grew up between cultures. She launched it at Nowruz: new day, new beginnings.

The beauty had to carry that. Lit skin. Bronze drawn down from the apple of the cheek, following the bone. A deep wash on the eye, blunt tight line, and @ardellbeauty lashes for lure. A sienna-henna wash on the lip.

📰 'What's the Point?' Director Asa Bailey on Finding Humanity with his new film Something Pointless

"In an industry obsessed with franchises and algorithms, Something Pointless feels almost rebellious. Not because it's loud, but because it dares to be quiet."

KATHARINE HAMNETT: THE WOMAN WHO MADE FASHION SPEAK BY CHRISTOPHER SIMS
@so.edited.co

For over four decades, Hamnett has used fashion not simply to dress people, but to communicate with them. Her oversized white T-shirts, carrying stark black slogans in uncompromising type, became some of the most recognisable garments of the twentieth century. Their brilliance lay not in their cut or construction, but in their clarity. Fashion had found its voice, and it spoke in capital letters.

What is perhaps most unsettling is how little those messages have aged.

As Katherine talks, I find myself thinking less about her career than about Britain itself.

The Britain that produced her.
The Britain that believed art schools mattered.
That considered public education an investment rather than a luxury.
That accepted experimentation as something valuable in its own right.
