Because sometimes healing begins the moment you stop trying to be the “good woman” everyone else expects and start listening to the woman your body has been asking you to become.

So much of women’s chronic stress comes from a lifetime of suppressing needs, boundaries, anger, grief, and truth. Somatic work helps us reconnect with the wisdom of the body and create the safety needed to express what has been waiting to be felt.

What is one boundary your body has been asking you to set?

Class is in session, sit yo butt down we’re talking about dynamic disabilities.
The often receiving “you look fine”er in your life is most definitely- not fine. They’re just having a day of being able to push through their pain, maybe their symptoms aren’t as bad as a few days ago when you met them BUT does that mean their illness has gone away? That their pain was being faked or that their recovery was anticipated to be slower than what you’re seeing? NO it’s because disability can be dynamic. They’re can fluctuate and some of us literally live our lives day to day , hour by hour not being able to predict what’s coming next or plan for anything in the future.
So the next time you’re about to remind a friend or family member that they’re having a day that looks like they’re relatively better or that you’re bummed their energy level isn’t conducive to your plans please remember- Disability can be dynamic.

Our first Tired & Wired session was a small invitation to pause in the middle of a fast-moving world — and give the mind, the body, and the soul permission to rest.

Led by Aditti @somaticsessionsindia and I, the morning moved with mindfulness, gentle movement, breathwork and reflection.

It was so nice to witness some of the participants leaving feeling noticeably calmer, lighter, and more settled in themselves. 🌿

Our heartfelt gratitude to them for trusting us to hold space ✨

If you missed this, don’t worry. We plan to host more of these sessions through this year — stay tuned. 🫶🏾
