Some great guesses yesterday! We have a curried tomato pie bear claw for y’all tomorrow since tomato season ain’t over ‘til it’s over. 😮‍💨

Made with ox heart tomatoes from @larderfoods, roasted with @spicewalla yellow curry blend and fresh chives, layered with cream cheese and Parmesan, and topped with toasted sesame seeds. All your favorite parts of a tomato pie all wrapped up in a Last Call pastry! 🍅

On the way, my tiny human and I cut through the Grove Arcade (she was a bit disappointed that it was "a mall with no arcade games" 🤪 but she did think that Spicewalla had a really cute shop!

NOTE: use extreme caution when blending hot mixtures (especially this one with oil)—
1. Working in batches, fill 1/3 way and open top of blender to vent and release pressure
2. Start blending on slowest speed then increase and slow back down.

Finally got into one of DC’s hottest restaurants 🔥- @chaipanidc. The tip is making a reservation and not walking in lolol 💁🏻‍♀️

We celebrated Hayden’s birthday last month by dining at Chai Pani, a popular Indian restaurant that’s originally from Asheville NC! My friends have raved about the OG location so I was so excited to try their menu. Having walked by a million times, I always admired their usage of bright, vibrant colors and I can say that the interior is even better!

We tried a lil bit of everything as recommended by our server and we really loved it all. I have to admit I’m trying to grow my Desi food knowledge so I apologize for my descriptions not being the best. But I do know that every bite was delicious, so flavorful, and unlike other things I’ve tried before. If you want a new and unique culinary experience, you need to check out Chai Pani for your next meal! ✨
