Your most powerful brand asset wasn’t your logo—It's your culture. You can’t Photoshop trust. You can’t use PR to mask burnout either. According to Gallup's research on employee engagement, engaged teams aren’t just a nice-to-have—they’re essential. ✅ 21% more profitable ✅ 17% more productive ✅ More innovative, resilient, and trusted Your culture isn’t just about engagement metrics or a catchy mission statement. It’s how your leaders model well-being, how your teams collaborate creatively, and how psychological safety becomes part of your everyday rhythm. The truth is, your internal culture is your brand—lived, felt, and embodied by your team. When you invest in creating spaces where people feel connected and valued, that energy becomes your most authentic brand statement. It’s time to rethink culture—not as a cost, but as the foundation for sustainable success. If this sparked something for you, let’s keep the conversation going. ✨

Leadership isn’t about control—it’s about PLAY. We’ve been taught that being a great leader means having all the answers, but the truth? Play unlocks trust, creativity, and connection like nothing else. It’s how we build psychological safety. It’s how we spark innovation. It’s how we read energy & lead with attunement. I’ll be teaching this LIVE at Northwest Event Show 2025. I’m leading a high-energy, interactive session on how play fuels leadership, trust, and culture change. Swipe through to learn more & tag a leader who needs this reminder. #NWES2025 #creatingculture #jyotijani #Leadership #SystemsChange #Creativity #EmpoweredLeadership

🚨 Mystery Guest Reveal! 🚨 For the inaugural episode of Cultural Luminaries, I'm bringing it close to home with someone who’s been by my side for 24 years—my partner, Tushar Patel, CFM, MSFM @tuzaar ! Join us Friday for a deeply personal and honest conversation about the powerful links between our relationships at home and how we lead in the workplace. 🌱 In addition to being my number one supporter, Tushar has 25+ years of experience in real estate, facilities management, and construction, working as a strategic advisor, design and construction manager, and owner’s representative for complex projects like campus and data center migrations. He’s straightforward, grounded, and—lucky for me—a supportive ally both at home and in the workplace. Fun fact: he taught me to DJ! 🎶 We have also traveled around the world, renovated a 100 year old home, and are raising two kids together. Together, we’ll be sharing insights on: 1. How building healthy relationships at home informs our professional lives 2. What we’ve learned as partners and parents raising two strong girls 3. How Tushar has grown into a stronger ally for women, both at work and at home I wanted this first episode to feel real and intimate, showing you how the personal journeys we take are the foundation of the change we bring to our professional lives. 📅 Tune in on LinkedIn Live Friday at 10 AM PST for a candid conversation with someone who’s helped me grow and inspires me every day. ✨ Don’t miss it—RSVP and let’s dive into the real work of creating culture from the ground up. ✨ Cover Reveal! ✨ I am thrilled to share the cover of my book, Creating Culture: Empowered Leadership for Systems Change, a project years in the making. This isn’t your typical leadership book—the colors and design reflect my unique lens as a woman of color, an artist, a mother, and a facilitator. I wanted it to stand out for those who think creatively and see the world through a systems lens. When I saw the finished cover for the first time, I was beyond excited. The fractal pattern on the cover isn’t just for design—it symbolizes how small patterns scale up to impact whole systems, one of the core ideas explored in the book. Inside, you’ll find a guidebook for leading systems change that combines personal stories, research-backed frameworks, and practical tools. It’s designed for both deep reading and as a reference guide, with an accompanying framework I’ll be sharing soon. I can’t wait to see it in your hands and hear your thoughts on this journey toward creating culture! Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being a part of this with me. 💫 #CreatingCulture #BookReveal #Leadership #SystemsChange #EmpoweredLeadership #CreativeThinking #CultureShift #FractalPatterns #WomenInLeadership #SocialScience

At some point in our lives, as we grow older we begin to attach shame with fun and we begin to believe that if our fun is too expressive or too loud, that it means we are not adult enough or that we don't take life seriously enough. We are born playful, then oppressive systems block our ability to use our feelings as useful data. In our next installment of Trail Talks, we will learn from Jyoti Jani Patel (jyotibfly), Founder of @SpillePlay, about the systematic empowering benefits of creative flow. Join us September 15th at 1PM EST and discover How Empowerment Starts with Play. RSVP + Reminders can be found in the Learn and Grow tab of your homepage.

When was the last time you felt a sense of play at work? Our current workplace paradigms and power structures no longer serve us, and we’re called to rethink them to have more impact and financial success. My guests today are Jyoti Patel and Emily Griffin @spilleplay. These two powerhouses joined together to create The Empathy Tour, where they spent the fall of 2020 talking to all types of leaders, both traditional ones and those underrepresented in the business world, to talk about how they lead, what challenges they face, and the very real ways they are having impact and success through empathy. Today, they share what role play has in organizational success and the common misconceptions of what we mean by a playful culture. We examine how you can embody play to foster impact and collaboration. They share best practices about creative facilitation and experience design and how they teach teams to be in creative flow. We also discuss the barriers that exist to creating more inclusive, empathetic cultures, and what they learned from leaders during The Empathy Tour on how to get past them. If you are a leader in any capacity or industry, this episode is not to be missed! Key Takeaways‼️ ✔️Play opens up creativity and imagination, and it decreases the fear of judgment, as well as the pressure and tension of the day-to-day work dynamics. ✔️Innovation does not come when employees are being constrained. ✔️Play creates an opening for everybody to speak up and participate. ✔️Play is an art - do it for its own sake. ✔️The first step is listening and making it safe for employees to share their feedback, whether that's anonymously, or openly in a team setting. The reality of collaborating on a project during a pandemic! 😷 When we did this photoshoot in Georgetown at the end of August with @nativelightphoto, it was the first time I had seen @jyotibfly IRL since March.⁣ ⁣ We had been brewing up the idea for @theempathytour in the spring, but didn’t push push push in the way we’d been conditioned to work. We let ourselves slow down to sense, feel and listen deeply to what was emerging in our world and hearts before getting into production mode.⁣ ⁣ Learning how to respond and not react is just one of the ways we’re embodying change, as we develop a cooperative, generative conversation with our community on finding a way forward together. ⁣ ⁣ Thank you for your love, support and encouragement for our launch week. We’re so grateful you’re a part of it. ❤️ #WeLeadWithEmpathy⁣
