We had such a great day at our Superhero Surf yesterday! Such a fun day with loads of people in the water and the community coming together in the sun.

We have three hours to go for our raffle. Tickets are only £2.50! Link in our bio to enter!

All money goes directly towards supporting young people in Scotland with Surf Therapy.

I really enjoyed my visit and snapping a few pictures of this gem of a place!

There are so many wonderful places to explore in East Lothian, Scotland and East Linton is certainly one of those must-visit gems. If you’re passing through, make sure to stop by The Mart and visit the Farm Shop, along with all the other fantastic independent businesses based there.

I can highly recommend @vandoughbros freshly baked pizzas — they’re absolutely delicious. Next time, I’ll definitely be trying one of Suren’s plant-based curries from Sri Lankan Delights, which I’ve heard wonderful things about. It’s a brilliant spot to support local businesses while enjoying some truly great food. 🍕🌿🤍

Another fantastic 2 days of learning, new experiences, insights, laughter, tears, joining-the-dots, lightbulb moments and so so much support 🩵

☀️ Jen Gold from www.reconnecttoself.scot for a truly magical session on Earth Awareness & Nature Medicine in the yurt and on the breathtaking #ravensheughsands at sunset 🌅🛖🌍 (sadly no photos of this beautiful experience)

☀️ Kirsty McKellar @kmacktherapy for an incredible and deeply relaxing sound bath to round off our busy weekend ✨

☀️ Ashtanga full primary, Mysore and physiology of the breath from @carolinefoster_yoga_physio (although there's really no need to thank myself 😂)

So much progress being made on and off the mat - some beautiful milestones being reached in asana practice - some big and impressive and some small but extremely personal & meaningful🥹; some major nerves & challenges being overcome in teaching practices, and in life! 💪

To say I am proud of these 7 ladies is such an understatement. Each of them is shining brightly already, and will continue to use the grit and the challenges to keep polishing away 🧽🫧🌟

We are just sad that there is only 1 more week of th course to go, our final week intensive in June. Getting emosh already 😅😭

The community classes resume next weekend with Kirsty and Marie-Claire sharing their wonderful offerings 😍

Next intake for the 200h Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Den starts in Jan 2027. I am delighted to say that we already have some fabulous trainees signed up, who have received the reading list and are already diving in to some personal study in preparation for the course ahead 📚

Women's Yoga & Surf Weekend Retreat
29-31 May
Dolphin Inn, Dunbar, East Lothian

We are keeping everything crossed that the weather for our weekend retreat will be good enough to let us hit the beach for some beach yoga practices, there is something truly special about practicing yoga by the ocean.
🌊
Dunbar is blessed with several STUNNING beaches within a few miles radius and we will make the most of this amazing coastline during the weekend. As well as beach yoga sessions, there will be opportunity for sea dips, coastal walks (with a pal or in blissful solitude) and of course the fantastic Surf Bliss Session with @groundswellscotland will take place whatever the waves and weather and will be adapted to perfectly suit the conditions.

The surf session is optional and is open to complete beginners to surfing as well as those with some experience. The surf session costs just a little extra but is heavily subsidised due to Groundswell's charity status so is fantastic value.

We will also have @kmacktherapy treating us to a beautiful relaxing sound bath on the Saturday evening.

I just bumped into this LEGEND @joxerooni while down at the beach filming a few clips of beach yoga, actually to post out to advertise our upcoming retreat in May!

Each doing what we love and are passionate about sharing - Sally with her surfing and myself with yoga.

Sally and I have been friends for many years and have been a huge support to each other as we navigate running our respective businesses/organisations in our own unique but totally aligned, heart-centred way.

@groundswellscotland is a registered charity that uses surfing as the medium to support women to find strength, community, support and joy.
