POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Well, that’s a wrap on @brooklynhorrorfest!!! What an incredible year it was, particularly for women in horror. Honestly, every film I was fortunate enough to screen was unique and phenomenal in their very own way. I cannot wait for these films to receive theatrical releases because they were so fucking amazing. Thank you to @nitehawkcinema for hosting and I can’t wait until next year!

When I started Matriarchs of Horror a year ago, I didn’t have some grand vision for what I wanted it to become. I just wanted a space to talk about horror. But somewhere along the way, it became something bigger. The more I connected with fellow horror lovers and eventually expanded those conversations into a podcast, the more I realized I wanted to create spaces where we could come together and have the kinds of conversations that horror so often invites us to have about women’s lived experiences.

And next month, I’m finally doing it!!!

On Nov. 2nd I’ll be hosting the first-ever Matriarchs of Horror salon, an intimate conversation exploring abortion access, bodily autonomy, and the ways those themes have manifested throughout horror. My friend and author Eleanor Johnson and journalist @garnethenderson have graciously agreed to join me as speakers, and I’ll be partnering with @nyaafund, with proceeds from ticket sales benefiting their work supporting abortion access in New York. I also wanted to bring these conversations to life before midterms so we can all understand the very real fight for abortion access under this administration. A huge thank you to @qedastoria for hosting us and if you’re based in NYC, I hope to see some of you there.

Happy Halloween to all who celebrate!! I had an incredible time finally living my dream as the liquid on the subway floor, an homage to Kate McKinnon, in one of my all time favorite SNL sketches Subway Churro. Am I pee or Mountain Dew?? Thank you to my ride or die doubles partner for getting the best photo of my awkwardly large costume right after our match, pre-party (we lost but still always win somehow). @spaceprincejulio you bring so much light and joy into the world, never stop! Enjoy some of the insanely good costumes I saw at the @adisconapproduction #cursedamulet2025 party!

I’ve always been different 🦄—and now I know why.

As a kid, I struggled to talk, felt overwhelmed in crowds, and could hyperfocus for hours on my passions. These were signs I’m Autistic/ADHD.

Getting diagnosed last year gave me the words to explain what I’ve always known—I experience the world differently. And while it hasn’t always been easy, it’s helped shape who I am.

Being neurodivergent has taught me to work hard, be kind, and speak up. It’s why I’ve spent the last 12+ years serving and leading in the running community through @usatf—to advocate for fairness and amplify athlete voices.

Now I’m using my platform to support neuroinclusion—especially in the running world.

My interview with @thisisflowspace was the first time I shared publicly about being Autistic/ADHD (link in bio). I’m open to more interviews and conversations.

Thanks for being here—and for celebrating Autism Acceptance Month with me 💕🧠🌈!
