I write this with tears streaming down my face because I blinked and my once wrinkly, hairy baby boy is a one year old, with a huge personality and infectious smile. Not only was our baby born 1 year ago today, I feel like I was too. I never knew exactly what I wanted to do in life or who I wanted to be. But now I know just the life that was meant for me, and it’s to be this boys mama. We were blessed with him just when we needed him most, and he has brought us happiness on even some of our saddest days.

Stetson Edgar, I’m so glad god chose me to be your mama. Your eyes sparkle and your smile could light up any room. You have your daddy’s love for music, goofy personality, and charm. You got your mamas appetite, silly dance moves, squinty eyed smile, and big brown eyes. But you are so unique ane special in every single way and I can’t wait to watch you change the world, because you sure have changed mine and daddy’s. We love you more than I ever knew possible and I thank god for every single day.

@caseyedgar_ thank you for making me a mama and growing and learning with me every single day. We have done most of this all on our own, being hours away from our families and I am so proud of us. You are the best daddy in the world and so much more than I could ever dream of. So today we not only celebrate a year with the sweetest boy in the world, but a year of doing the dang thing and figuring everything out as we go. I’m so proud of you and I’m so proud of us.

Happy birthday to the light of our life, our sinky boy, our Stetty Eddy, baby dolly Smalley, and our greatest accomplishment. We love you X a zillion.

A few days late but our baby is 11 months old😭 not sure where time has gone or how my squishy little baby turned into a big boy right before my eyes. I wish we could pause this stage because he is SO fun. He is ALWAYS dancing and has major rhythm. The dude literally dances to everything including the beat of the dryer😂 he’s so ornery and so sweet and just lights up the room (and our life.) He’s obsessed wit’s music, his mama, and loves everyone. Daddy and him are best buddies and he thinks everything Casey does is hilarious and awesome. He is WILD and he’s constantly on the go. It’s so bittersweet that he is about to be 1. I’ve obsessed over his birthday party and it’s going to be so fun.
