This past weekend’s Foundational Flow gave us the opportunity to slow things down and explore what lives underneath the flow. We deepened our connection to the breath, broke down the elements of a vinyasa, and explored the individual postures, alignment, and breath patterns that create Sun Salutation A.

The goal isn’t simply to learn more poses—it’s to develop a deeper understanding of the practice we already have.

Join James on Sunday, October 25 at 10:30am for our next non-heated Foundational Flow, where we’ll build on these foundations, explore more of the practice, and continue connecting breath, movement, and awareness.

60 minutes.
All levels welcome.

💜 Help us paint the town purple.

This week, we're joining a beautiful community effort to raise awareness and funds for those affected by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

The easiest way to help? Come in for lunch this Wednesday, 9/16. We're donating 10% of all sales to the Alzheimer's Association. That's it. Show up, eat well, and make a difference.

We're making it extra special with a few purple-inspired additions to the menu on Wednesday only:
💜 Ube Poptart: Flaky, buttery crust with a creamy, nutty ube filling, topped with a purple vanilla icing
🍋 Butterfly Pea & Lavender Lemonade: Fresh lemon, lavender, and butterfly pea blossom: Enjoy this drink as a mocktail or as a cocktail with vodka.

Reservations are recommended and can be made online (link in bio) or by calling us at 847-749-3103.

But the giving doesn't stop there, there's a full week of events happening right here in DtA:
📚 Tuesday 9/15: Educational program at Cocial at 5:30 PM, then dinner at Passero
🍽️ Wednesday 9/16: Lunch at Scratchboard Kitchen (that's us! 💜)
🍷 Thursday 9/17: Dinner at Shakou
🌸 Friday 9/18: Flowers After Hours, 6–9 PM at The Eiffel Flower
🧘 Saturday 9/19: Yoga classes at 8 AM & 9:30 AM at Still Yoga
🎉 Sunday 9/20: Closing party at 3 PM at Peggy Kinnane's
...and more!

Every meal, every class, every gathering this week is a chance to show up for the people we love. We hope to see you. 💜

Shout-out to Bear Construction and Coco & Blu for all of their hard work on this effort!

Our second Sound Bowl Yin experience is an invitation to slow all the way down, to soften, surrender, and listen inward.

In Yin, we work with longer held postures, allowing the body time and space to explore without force. As the physical body becomes quiet, the breath becomes our anchor and awareness begins to move beneath the surface.

A little less effort.
A little more surrender.
A chance to nourish the nervous system, soften the fascia, and connect with the subtle layers of the body.

Come as you are.

Bring your breath, your curiosity, and your willingness to be still.

Slow down. Soften. Listen. Receive.
