Warak enab is more than just food. It’s a tradition, a labor of love, and a ritual shared across so many Arab families.

My parents grow their own grapevines just so they can harvest the leaves. On special occasions, the whole family gathers to roll warak enab together—one leaf at a time, one conversation at a time.

That’s why I love what @habibi.you.know creates. They have a beautiful way of celebrating the small moments that make Arab culture feel like home. The traditions, the details, the memories that connect generations.

Wer sich gerne kreativ auslebt, kann von @dumanichso noch einiges lernen – vor Allem, wie Kreativität in das Prompting und Umgang mit KI einfließen kann. Die Ergebnisse lassen sich dann wiederum in die physische Welt übersetzen – wie z. B. auf einen Wandteppich. 🪡 Wer auch mal tuften möchte, folgt @dumanichso und uns am Besten, um das nächste Angebot nicht zu verpassen! 👀

Das gezeigte Tufting-Tasting fand im Rahmen des DigitalWerks in Kirchbarkau statt, einer Initiative von @cobaas_bildung und der @kielregion.
Die Tiny Design School ist eine Kooperation im DLC ArtLab mit dem @anscharcampus und den Landesmuseen SH nach einer Projektidee der @muthesiuskunsthochschulekiel.

Yesterday, as part of the opening of Hamburg’s Harbour Birthday celebrations, I had the pleasure of hosting the second Tufttasting in the inspiring showroom of @egecarpets, @artemide_lighting & Gabriel.dk – a special format in a truly special setting. Surrounded by light, texture, and thoughtful conversations, we explored emotions, technology, and the power of artistic practice.

A heartfelt thank you to the Team of Ege Carpets and @jrbuero for the kind invitation and the wonderful atmosphere. And to all the visitors who boldly picked up the tufting gun and contributed to our shared tapestry of small motifs – it was a real joy!

The last weekend I was invited by the Tiny Design School of the @dlcartlab to host a „KI Meets Traditional Handcraft“ workshop – and what a day it was! 🫠

In the beautiful space of the @anscharcampus , I first introduced my artistic practice. We dove into powerful conversations about the role of AI in art, and what it could mean if we allowed the digital and analog worlds to coexist — not as opposites, but as complements with unique potentials.

Then, we got hands-on. I presented three AI-generated designs, each capturing a certain mood, which I had reinterpreted graphically. Participants picked their favorite, chose their colors, explored the materials — and started tufting.

It was incredible to witness how each person developed their own approach to the motifs. The energy, the focus, the speed at which they learned to use the tufting tools — just wow. 🤩🫰🏽

In the end, we mounted the finished pieces in frames, and I couldn’t be prouder of these six tufting newbies and their beautiful mini artworks!🫰🏽

Wir waren Teil eines Tufting-Workshops bei @dumanichso im @studio_superloop

Bei diesem Workshop konnten wir unsere eigens mitgebrachten Motive mit der Tufting-Gun schießen, Rahmen, und das beste, direkt mit nach Hause nehmen!

Eine unfassbar schöne Erfahrung, die ich euch gleichermaßen ans Herz legen möchte!

@brainfarttattoo und ich waren gestern im @studio_superloop und hatten zum ersten Mal eine Tufting-Machine in der Hand. Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir unglaublich herzlich empfangen und rundum versorgt. 🥺

Neben leckeren Snacks, tollen Gesprächen und einer entspannten Atmosphäre durften wir jede Menge Neues lernen. Alles wurde verständlich erklärt und mit viel Geduld begleitet, sodass selbst die ersten Versuche richtig Spaß gemacht haben. Durch die lockere und kreative Stimmung fiel das Lernen ganz leicht.

Am Ende sind wir nicht nur mit neuen Erfahrungen, sondern auch mit ganz viel Inspiration nach Hause gegangen. Vielen Dank für diesen wundervollen Tag, wir kommen gerne wieder! ✨🧶 #tufting #kreativität #love #vlog #minivlog

Wir waren heute im @studio_superloop bei einem Tufting-Kurs und haben aus meiner Illustration eines „Basketballs, dem die Luft ausgeht“, ein echtes Stück Teppich-Kunst aus Schurwolle hergestellt.

@dumanichso hat die ganze Zeit mit ihrer unglaublich liebenswerten und unterstützenden Art durch den Kurs geleitet und diese handwerkliche Erfahrung einfach perfekt gemacht.

Wenn ihr die Chance habt, einen Platz in einem der Workshops zu ergattern, dann unbedingt machen.
