We’re so excited to launch our new guest chef series Nighthawks with @yiannismexis of @pyro.restaurant on Monday 2 November for an evening of fire-led cooking, bold flavours and plenty of Hellenic touches.

Drawing on memories of Greece and experience in Michelin-starred kitchens including Elystan Street, The Ledbury and HIDE, Yiannis will be bringing five exclusive à la carte specials to complement our menu on the night.

Expect Pyro’s signature spanakopita pastel de nata, sea bream with green olives & caper leaves, Iberico pork skewers, Cornish lobster with blood orange avgolemono, and Dorset lamb with lamb fat flatbreads & smoked anchovy yoghurt.

One night only. Monday 2 November.

Maisy is currently working with Studio Paskin on a series of posters for The Barbary Notting Hill, a restaurant taking its culinary cues from the cuisine of The Barbary Coast from Southern Europe to North Africa. The posters are promoting a forthcoming series of guest chef evenings throughout the year. Look out for Maison François, Pyro, Anglo Thai, Apricity, Trullo, Evelyn’s Table and Nuno Mendes.

One of the biggest house tracks of the 2000s almost never happened.
Love Story was already doing well in clubs, but it wasn’t breaking through. Then Bushwacka accidentally discovered what happened when he layered the vocals from Finally by Kings of Tomorrow over the top during a DJ set in Argentina.
The crowd lost it.
Instead of rushing it out, he turned it into a birthday gift for his girlfriend because Love Story and Finally were her two favourite songs.
That birthday present became a UK Top 10 hit.

at @barbarylondon for all the BAKLAVA ICE CREAM SANDWICHES celebrating their 10th birthday with some hospitality royalty…and not the Harry kind of royalty…

Really showing my age here but I remember when this place first opened and it was so hot, trying to get a seat was near on impossible. Sat around their counter whilst being served this incredible Southern European/Northern African menu from the Barbary Coast directly from the chefs, it was the ultimate experience that London never really had before and yet, here we are, 10 years and a host of pretenders later and this place is still one of the best doing it.

Farking awesome and you need to know. Here’s to 10 more. Congrats to @zoepaskin and the whole @studiopaskin crew.

Meet our Wine Manager, Marya 🍷

Originally from a small seaside village in Puglia, Marya moved to England eight years ago, spending time in Sussex before settling in London just over two years ago. Having completed her WSET Diploma and continuing to study wherever she can, she approaches wine with an endless appetite for learning.

We asked Marya what makes a wine list exciting. For her, it’s all about bottles with character, balance, and a strong sense of place: producers with a story worth telling and bottles that feel alive on the list, whether that’s a benchmark classic or something a bit more unexpected. The goal is always to create curiosity and memorable moments for guests.

Her current favourites on the list are:

🌟 2024 Erse Etna Bianco @tenutadifessina, served by the glass at @evelynstable

🌟 2024 ‘Amiami Vice’ @ami.wine, served chilled at The Mulwray. A Pinot Noir/Aligoté blend that’s juicy, bright and dangerously easy to drink.

🌟 @nadiacurto Barolo Folia 2019. A bit more of a classic here, but I love the perfume, depth and elegance of this wine.
