POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A little construction, a little gallery rearranging, and a whole lot of heart going into this one. ❤️

We’ve been getting the gallery ready for TRIBE, the upcoming photography and spoken word exhibition by our inaugural AND Gallery Fellow, @chanteljmiller

TRIBE is a deeply personal collection of portraits honoring the people who showed up for Chantel throughout her life.

Through photography and spoken word, Chantel shares a story about grief, caregiving, community, and the people who help carry us through life’s hardest moments.

We’re excited for you to experience this one.

Join us TOMORROW, October 24, from 4–6 PM for TRIBE: Photography + Spoken Word.
📍 AND Gallery | 1851 McGuckian St, Suite B, Annapolis

Come spend some time with us and the stories behind the work.

So we did a little challenge to show you what a day inside AND CREATIVE actually looks like through hourly photos (9am - 9pm) 📸

We have been working towards a behind the scenes rebranding — Introducing AND CREATIVE. The umbrella for the creative world we have built together, including @artfarmannapolis , @andcreativegallery, @theannapolisstudio, @annapolisartsweek aka Bounce! Annapolis, @and_marketplace, and all the collaborations, events, and “wait…what if we did this?” ideas in between.

Anyway, here’s a day in the life of @sugar_farm AND @darinmichelle ♥️

Yep, those are pictures of me in yoga poses. 🤘

But here’s the thing: the pose is never the damn point.

Yoga is connection. Mind. Body. Breath. YOU.

You don’t need to be bendy. You don’t need fancy leggings. And you definitely don’t need to look like anything you’ve seen on Instagram. 😂

Just show up. Pay attention. Celebrate YOU. Practice that.

Because that’s yoga. 💛

Featuring Martin Beadle, Nikki Brooks, Cat Dolch, Deb Furey, Hailey Hagan, Jim Mackey, Jayla McKay, Felicia Reed, and Anike Robinson.

📅 THIS Saturday, Aug 15th
🕕 6–9 PM

Opening Reception + Night Market next door at @artfarmannapolis — local artists, handmade goods, good company.

See you there 🤍

Fearless Girls Photography Camp Week 1 is a WRAP!

This is my second year mentoring at fearless photo camp and this is seriously the most underrated week-long camp for girls in the summer.

It’s located in Annapolis Maryland, and it’s filled with learning about aperture and shutter speed, street photography, food photography, and so many other cool activities!

So much is packed into one week and on the last day there is a slideshow of everything the girls have created over the course of the week.

Mentoring is a highlight of my summer - if you’re interested in mentoring or registering your daughter for next summer’s camp, follow @fearlessphotogirl and comment on their page to keep their posts on your feed!!! 🤗

Putting the work into working artists. 👏

This week we visited our friend @twingingersdesign’s house in Rock Hall to plan out a project for her new business launch this fall. #getexcited

Alison and Darin will be doing photography and graphic design (labels, cards, website, signage, etc). So, stay tuned!!

Fun fact: that “textile” flag in the studio is from the college Alison and Jen both went to — Jen even taught in the fiber arts department there for years.

It’s amazing how much beauty is hiding in the smallest details.

For these photographs, @sugar_farm used a macro lens and a light box to study the lines, textures, and patterns found in feathers. Printed in black and white on cold press paper, the images have a softness that almost makes you want to reach out and touch them.

Join us Friday, July 31, from 5:30–7:30 PM for the closing reception celebrating the work of @darinmichelle, @jkarr1968 and @sugar_farm.

Come enjoy one final evening with the artwork, connect with the artists, and celebrate a great run.

We’ll also be sharing some special news 🗞️ during the reception, so you won’t want to miss it. 👀

If you can’t make the closing, there’s still time to stop by before then —— Our summer gallery hours are Thursday–Saturday, 12–5 PM.

See you at the gallery. 💙
