APU Provincials 2026

S: 190kg | 418lbs (+15kg meet pr)
B:125kg | 275lbs (+15kg meet pr)
D: 207.5kg | 457lbs (+7.5kg meet pr)
T: 522.5kg | 1152lbs (+42.5kg meet pr)

Honestly pretty happy with this meet. My one and only goal was to come in and have fun so I’d say we did a great job of doing that 👍. Obviously numbers aren’t where I wanted them but what can ya do with 3 months of knee pain and hip pain leading up to comp. Happy to even single my triples lol.

Obviously big thanks to my coach, @cj_thakuri for getting me to this point. I mean if we can +42.5kg to my total with an injured prep id like to see what we can do with a healthy one.

Thank you to @shad_pl for handling me day of (and stressing out about my bathroom breaks).

And of course thank you to my cheer squad (who I’ve tagged). We’re a small group but you guys make me feel like I’m walking into a room full of supporters.

APU Provincial Bench Only Meet Recap!!
3/3 and 9 white lights!!
I have officially joined the 100 kg bench club 16 months in the making!

B1 : 87.5 kg (192.5lb) ⚪⚪⚪ easy opener ✅
B2: 95 kg (209 lb) ⚪⚪⚪ Bench only PR match and national requalifyer
B3: 100 kg (220 lb) ⚪⚪⚪ +5 kg bench only PR and hit a number I have been trying to hit since Nationals 2025

I had an awesome weekend volunteering through the first 2 days of the weekend and this was just the cherry on top 🍒

I made new friends and caught up with old ones and got asked by 3 different people when I am getting into a bench shirt

First off I want to thank my wonderful husband David who stayed home with the kids this weekend, and for supporting me in my goals in this sport!

I want to thank my amazing coach Byrin who I have trusted with my powerlifting journey as we come up on 3 years together ☺️ he keeps me grounded and we commiserate about children who won't sleep and the plagues they bring home from daycare

Then we have the Lakeland Ladies! Janine and Carole are both pivotal as they are who connected me with Byrin and encouraged me to go out for my first meet and encouraged me to keep going at the beginning when I had a surprise pregnancy. This was the first time I had the honor of actually competing right alongside them 💜

Cold Lake Crew! Kieran and Hunter, 4 years ago when I started going back to the gym, these boys were in highschool and I remember them being in the gym back then! I am so glad they found their way to powerlifting and it has been exciting to see them get stronger!

Dabi!!! You killed this weekend and we will kill it at westerns too!! It was lovely getting to scream at you while you lifted 💜

I also want to thank my @1stphorm advisor @katiejanehoehn I have been working with her since last September and I am down 40 lbs since then, and I know we have so much more to accomplish together!

@canplwesterns Here I come 500 kg total or bust!

#TeamWylieStrength Provincial Championships Recap:

We had 10 athletes across 11 divisions at the 2026 APU Provincial Championships last weekend! What a weekend, with fights for podium, intense number calling, personal records, and overcoming unique meet-day challenges! 🔥

I couldn’t be more proud of how the team executed throughout the weekend. It is such a privilege for me to be able to assist in everybody’s journey to the platform, but being able to help execute on the day is the icing on the cake; sharing in those moments of triumph and defeat, to be with my athletes in those moments, is truly where I want to be. Win or fail, we grow as a team together. Thank you Team for bringing out the best of me, so I can help show the best of you on the platform. ❤️

Thank you to the meet directors for hosting an amazing event. Putting on a competition of this size is a mountainous task and the community is incredibly grateful for the effort that you put in. Thank you to all the volunteers putting in the work keeping things flowing nicely, the refs for holding ourselves to the highest level of competitive standards, and to the amazing spectators who showed incredible support for all the athletes who competed!

The next #Teamwyliestrength appearance will be at Wylie Strength Open in August. If you don’t sign up, I’m going to take it personally and Sam will have to deal with it!! 🥹

Stories like Dabi’s are why Evolving Prowess exists.
Bodies change.

Strength evolves.
And athletes deserve clothing that adapts with them through every phase, season, and goal.

🤍 Proud to stand with women who keep showing up for themselves.

Meet Dabi — powerlifter, student, and proud ambassador of Evolving Prowess.

As her training evolved, so did her body.
Stronger shoulders.
Stronger back.
Stronger everywhere.

And with every change, her gym clothes stopped fitting. That’s when she realized something important: your body is meant to grow. Your clothes should grow with you.
Evolving Prowess isn’t about chasing perfection.

It’s about evolving with yourself — through every phase.

🤍 Every athlete has her own evolution.
This one is Dabi’s.

I will also be returning to the National stage for both the Classic 3-Lift and Bench-Only divisions, competing previously at this level in 2024.
