THE SOUND OF DOGS | OCTOBER 2026, Montreal A 5-year project spotlighted on stage for 10 days FLOORS SHOOK, AUDIENCES WERE MESMERIZED, EMOTIONS RAN WILD. Y’all rocked the world. Content Considerations: Occasional strong coarse language. There are mentions of audism, discrimination, prejudice, and stereotyping in flashbacks and vignettes that illustrate misconceptions about the Deaf community. @thesoundofdogs @imago.theatre @centaurtheatre

“How do we have each other’s backs?” Two Deaf performers, one from Edmonton and one from Montréal, try to answer this through a performance of movement, visuals, and signed poetry. Connor and Cai search for answers with their bodies, hands, and breath in a rare portrayal of Deaf identity, vulnerability, and solidarity. Dorsal Traces deconstructs and unifies many themes important to the Deaf community - Deaf dorsality, Queerness, toxic masculinity, and the need for male Deaf role models who support each other - and fail - and keep trying. Dorsal Traces premieres on December 3rd, 2026, at 7:00pm. Tickets for all four performances are on sale now, and Invisible Members can get a $5 discount on theirs! Just check our link in bio or go directly to our website at www.invisiblepractice.ca. We’re proud to present this brand-new work as part of Good Women Dance’s Convergence 2026 double bill. Your ticket gets you TWO live performances, not just one! 💙 And just like that… our Montréal run of THE SOUND OF DOGS has come to an end. From all of us in the cast: thank you, Montréal. Thank you for showing up, filling the theatre, laughing with us, crying with us, and holding this story so generously. And to Jennifer’s family and the Belleville Deaf community, so much of the heart behind where this story began, thank you for sharing so much of yourselves with us. We’re already sobbing. We’re not ready to say goodbye yet… so maybe we won’t. 👀 Thank you for being part of THE SOUND OF DOGS family. Until next time 💙🐾 #thesoundofdogs #aslcast #theatreadventure #asltheatre #mtlarts
