Meet Penny, @pennycampbellpottery
well known, here in Stroud, for her beautiful functional pottery that’s more like art. Maybe it’s that she’s developed her own recognisable style, that once you own a piece you just need more. Maybe it’s that she’s developed and mixed her own glazes, which are unique to her work. Anyway they are even more beautiful in real life.
Apart from meeting her at one of her classes, or down at Stroud Farmers Market you are able to come and meet her here this weekend 24th, 25th October at our Old Farmhouse Venue on the @autumnarts26 Open Studio Trail.
Along side her there are 4 other wonderful artisans for you to see.

Looking forward to hosting a masterclass by the incredible Justine Alison!

Justine will lead a small and intimate class through the intricate processes she has developed to create her signatire bottles.
Working with extremely fine porcelain slabs this workshop will be well suited for experienced hand-builders looking to refine and develop their practise

Link to our masterclasses are in our bio!

Post-tape removal … 8 months ago I did an amazing weekend with @justineallisonceramics at @theclayloft and made these fragile slab rolled porcelain vases with her incredible guidance. It’s taken me this long to be brave enough to glaze them - hours and hours of work to something to do Justine’s technique justice, in my colours

✨✨Teaching✨✨

@theclayloft

Super excited to be kicking off my evening classes this term at The Clay Loft, Stroud. This beautiful studio has been my pottery home for the past five years and it's a great honour to be picking up the mantle from the amazing @adrian_bates_ceramics and start running classes here, after spending the last year teaching at the wonderful @7limespottery studio in Manchester.

There are still spaces for the below course so if you're in the area and at any stage in your ceramic learning we'd love to have you along.

Starting next week!

✨ 12 week course
✨ 21st April - 21st July
✨ Tuesdays 6.30 - 9.30pm
✨ All abilities welcome
✨ Covering hand building and throwing skills

This is a structured course where I will take students through a variety of techniques working with clay. There is also some room for those with experience to pursue their own projects with my guidance.

✨ 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 throwing tuition also available

Sign up on @theclayloft website

Where shall I place my stoneware cockerel? I made him a few weeks back on a brilliant weekend masterclass with @paulsmithsculptures @theclayloft near Stroud.
Great tuition and fun too. He’s an outdoor sculpture so I think he can be outside the studio on my inspiration display table!
