Live Music: The Druthers
August 30th
8pm
Free

The Druthers make heart-sweeping folk / pop with his and hers harmony.

The magnetic Portland, OR six-piece is defined by the unmistakable voices of their two lead singers: the open, weathered rasp that is his (Kirk Duncan) and the whisper-to-wail force that is hers (Erin Adkisson). The pair is accented by a song-serving flurry of trumpet, piano, organ, guitars, drums and bass.

Unmerciful, heartbreaking, uplifting and full of grace, The Druthers make moving music.

The Druthers will be performing at The Sou’Wester Lodge in a rare stripped-down format, featuring Kirk, Erin, and Tanner performing acoustic guitar and three-part harmony arrangements of fan-favorite Druthers songs and deep cuts. Don’t miss this intimate opportunity!

WHAT A WAY TO CAP OFF ONE OF MY
LAST FILMED SHOWS OF 2024!!! 😎🎥🎶

Thank you so very much to @atlantispdx for having for the first time ever last night! Thank you so very much to @mariiaombysh for saying the first word to me about this event and for letting me come out to film @lala_band_ko! It was a small world going from being an @uber Rider/Passenger to arriving in (you guessed it) an @uber in front of @mariiaombysh and her husband/fellow @lala_band_ko bandmate, @_vadimburtsev_! They showed sincere emotion and beautiful storytelling with their performances of “Home” and “Hope”. Their captivating performances really spoke to me when it comes to holding onto the ones you love tightly to looking back at how far you’ve come in the road ahead with the goal(s) still ahead of you. And of course, capping off their performance/the night with @officialaha’s Crowd Pleaser Classic
“Take On Me”!

I’m still out here swooning over @vocalcurves and her heart stealing covers of “Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps”, “Chocolate Mint”, @amywinehouse’s Immortal Classic, “Back to Black”, and even a unexpected yet interactive closer in “Hey (Nah Neh Nah)” with the crowd (glad they helped out)! The biggest highlight of the night for me was @vocalcurves’s Quentin Tarantino inspired favorite, “Byvayet (Things Happen)” as the co-main event song! Wow @vocalcurves and @ponomaragu (massive shout out to Veronica for pulling off the piano duties throughout the entire event 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕🔥)! Also, Massive Shout Out to @andrey_anufriev95 for being so helpful to me with his creative, spur of the moment filming decisions! He helped me get quick on my feet while I was laser focused to my filming and made innovative decisions coming out of those moments! Rock on, my friend! 🤘🏻🎥🎶

I also got to film most of @chervona_band’s performances and I truly cannot thank @andre.temkin for the last minute notice! I’m so glad I got to capture their performances with special, reoccurring performances from @vocalcurves and @lala_band_ko’s @mariiaombysh!

A GIGANTIC THANK YOU and much love to the Russian Community for accepting me with an interesting experience I will always carry for myself! ❤️🇷🇺
