If dancing, dressing up and playing at a business conference makes you cringe, I get it.🤣

The first time I experienced tons of hype was at a FHL event in Las Vegas with guest speaker @tonyrobbins. I could feel my resistance yet as I stayed open and available… I began to understand that there was something powerful happening beyond the turned up energy.

Last week, I was able to fully engage at Living Brave Live in Denver, alongside @shoshanna_raven and a room full of powerhouse women who were willing to be seen, feel deeply, and step outside their comfort zones.🙌🏼🚀💃🏽

There’s science behind this work! 🤪🔥

There’s true value in coming out of our minds and into our bodies.

🎶 Music shifts our energy and changes how we feel.

💃 Dancing brings us into our bodies. We move, shake, feel and access a different kind of wisdom.

👗 Clothes become an extension of who we are. Choosing how we want to show up is a practice in creativity, visibility and self-expression.

🎨 Play loosens what has become rigid and opens us to new ideas and possibilities.

🫶 Doing all of this in a room full of women championing one another, sharing vulnerably, collaborating and celebrating each other’s growth, reminds us what becomes possible when we stop holding ourselves back.

These experiences are not just fun or performative. They can help us regulate, expand our capacity and teach our nervous systems that it is safe to be more expressive, connected and fully ourselves.

I also love the contrast.

At @theflorrest 🌲, the experience is a different kind of magic. There is silence, nature and space to hear yourself again. To slow down enough for what is inside you to blossom.🌺

We need different experiences at different times. Often times it’s through contrast that we come to know ourselves more fully.

The contrast is the teacher.☯️

When we’re willing to explore our edges, and also give ourselves enough space to hear what is true, we come to know ourselves more fully.

We find our center. From there, we keep growing.

As each of us becomes more fully ourselves, we enrich the whole ecosystem. ☯️🌲🪩

Take a moment…

To Listen.

Listen to the Silence.

That’s where I find my answers through the power of peace.

Sometimes creating what’s next isn’t about fighting what is, it’s about finding the opening. ✨

In this episode of Soul Stories with Jill, Mena Teijeiro shares her journey from life in Miami to creating The Florrest, a 153-acre leadership sanctuary in rural Georgia.

Through unexpected change, resistance, and plenty of unknowns, Mena discovered a powerful philosophy she calls “Breathing Through the Cracks” reclaiming the energy we spend fighting what we can’t change and using it to create what’s calling us forward.

🎙️ Breathing Through the Cracks: Creating What’s Next Without Fighting What Is

Listen now and discover what can happen when you stop trying to break through the wall, and start looking for the crack.

What if trust can be accelerated?

Today I attended CREATE, Cultivating Resilient Entrepreneurs and Transforming Economies, hosted by Georgia Power’s Economic Development team at Middle Georgia State University.

One theme especially caught my attention: trust.

Trust between founders and investors. Trust with clients. Trust between the people building something together.

We often think trust simply takes time. And yes, it does.

But I believe we can create conditions that allow trust to deepen more quickly.

When we step outside our usual environments, slow down, become present, reconnect with ourselves and nature, and have space to genuinely connect with one another, something shifts.

We see the human beyond the role.

When people feel connected and safe with one another, collaboration changes.

We can share ideas more freely, take risks, navigate disagreement, innovate, and build together.

This is a big part of what I’m passionate about creating at The Florrest: the conditions for deeper human connection that strengthen trust, make meaningful collaboration possible, and expand our collective impact.

Last year, I had the opportunity to join one of the CREATE panels and share some of my experience building The Florrest. It was a pleasure to be back this year, reconnect with people I met then, and continue being part of these conversations, and of creating the bridges and spaces where conversation becomes connection, collaboration, and collective impact.

Every experience I’ve ever created has taught me something.

Not always what I expected.
Not always what felt comfortable.
But always exactly what I needed to become who I am now.

The souls who have walked through The Florrest, who slept here, sat in circle here, cried here, laughed here, transformed here, you didn’t just receive something from this place.

You gave me something too.🌹

You gave me the lived experience of knowing what works and what doesn’t.
What a container needs to hold people well. What happens when structure is missing and what becomes possible when it’s there. You reflected back to me where I was still growing as a leader, as a facilitator, as a woman building something that has to match the depth of what I stand for.

I didn’t always have the words for it then.

I do now.

What I’m building at The Florrest has always been about one thing: helping people return to themselves so they can lead, create, and live from overflow rather than depletion.

That was true in the beginning.

It’s more true now than ever.

The difference is that now the container matches the calling.

If you’ve been here… thank you! You are woven into everything this place has become and everything it’s still becoming.

If you’ve been watching from a distance, wondering what The Florrest is now.

This is the invitation to find out. Send me a DM and let’s talk.

You don’t need to be fixed. You need to be placed correctly.

You’ve just been in spaces that can’t meet you.

I could hear these words as I finished my evening walk @theflorrest yesterday.

I used to think I needed to adjust more. I tip toed around life.

Be softer here. Stronger there. Hold more. Say less.

The truth is simpler.

At times, I was in environments that required me to manage my energy… instead of spaces that could receive it.

This is what I’m sharing about in the video, letting ourselves bubble up to where we are meant to be.

The moment I stopped trying to fit and started choosing where I belong…

My presence landed.
My work deepened.
The right people didn’t feel threatened… they leaned in.

You don’t have to become more to rise. You just have to stop anchoring yourself in places that keep you small.

Let yourself rise. There are spaces waiting for you.🙌🏼💫

Beloved Queen,

Something has been quietly weaving…
behind the scenes…
through devotion, prayer, and deep listening.

And now… it’s ready to be felt.

Two sacred lands.
Two powerful activations.

❤️‍🔥 Phoenix Rose in Sedona
A portal of rebirth…
voice activation, goddess embodiment,
and the remembrance of your fire.

🌿 The Power of Her — Georgia
A deeper immersion…
where the feminine rises in her fullness,
rooted, expressed, and fully seen.

These are not just events…
they are initiations.

Spaces where your voice softens open…
your body remembers…
and your leadership begins to bloom from truth.

This is a soft opening.
A whisper before the full call.

If your heart feels this…
stay close.

🌹

For the queens feeling called to co-create and share their gifts…
you are warmly invited to apply as a guest facilitator
and schedule a Collaboration Rise Call with me.

Let’s connect… link in bio ✨

And for those desiring to walk deeper within this space…

Returning to your own light💫

Most of my clients are not lacking power.

They are powerful people living in environments that cannot hold them.

They are the lion who learned to soften their roar, not because they are weak. But because they are perceptive.

They feel everything. They read the room. They adapt.

And slowly they begin to forget what it feels like to fully be.

What they think they need is more success, more visibility, more recognition.

But when we go deeper that is not it.

They don’t want to be on display.
They don’t want to perform their life.

They want space.

Space to walk freely, to love deeply, to tend to what matters, to be with their people without being consumed by the gaze of others.

They want a life that is their own.

Not a life that looks powerful but a life that feels true.

Mastery, for me, has never been about accumulation.

It is about self leadership.

Knowing who you are. Protecting what is sacred. Choosing what you grow. Walking away from what depletes.

They stop negotiating with what is not in alignment. They don’t go to battle with the old. They don’t try to prove or convince.

They choose themselves. And in doing so
their environment begins to change, allowing the fruits to come from that alignment.

There is a quiet beauty in this.

An ordinariness that is anything but ordinary.

A life where you are so connected
to yourself that you no longer need
the world to confirm you.

And from that place love changes. The Lover is no longer longing. There is no sorrow.

Because you are no longer waiting to be chosen.

You are already in communion with yourself. From there you begin to meet others who can meet you in that same depth.

I work with people who carry a lot for others and are ready to return to their center so they can live and lead from overflow.

This image is from August 21, 2021. Back then, I held this in my heart.

Now, I have the sanctuary and the systems to invite others into it.

Happy Spring Equinox!

A new cycle begins. I am stepping more fully into who I am.

This past Friday, I called my oldest son Ben to check up on his storm plans.
Within minutes it was confirmed! He was driving down to The Florrest with friends from college.

I called my back up housekeeping team, went off to Sam’s club, and got storm ready.

As soon as they arrived, we moved the pavilion furniture to the pool area so they could protect their cars in case of the ice storm, set up a kerosene heater, food prepped, and gathered to make the most of the time together.

It was a treat to be able to share with this incredible group of young adults.
They are on their way back to Furman now. Hope everyone has a good transition back to life.

My other son Sebi in Nashville will have a longer time to go back to normal. The electric grid got severely damages with trees cracking all over town. Fortunately, they have a generator and are hosting community too.

In times of challenge, it is beautiful to see how people come together to support each other.
To more of this!
