Real women. Real connection. Together since 2015. Showing up for each other in events, inboxes, and real life. Created by @stephlanier

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re proud to sponsor the 2026 Real Estate Roundtable, hosted by The Inspiration Lab, right here in Wilmington!

We’re big believers that some of the best ideas in real estate come from getting in a room with other smart, talented women who are willing to share what’s working, what’s not, and what they’re learning along the way.

From navigating today’s market to building stronger businesses, creating meaningful connections, and planning for 2027, this conference is all about learning from each other and leaving with fresh ideas you can actually put to work.

Our whole team will be there, and we can’t wait to connect with women from across the industry!

• Wilmington, NC
• Thursday, October 29, 2026
• 9 AM - 4 PM

Real estate friends! Come end your month with us in Wilmington talking shop about this market, what’s working, what’s not, and what we’re planning for 2027!
•
We’ve got an awesome lineup of speakers, great topics, and plenty of time for the roundtable discussions our workshops have become known for.
•
@theinspirationlab we believe in the collective wisdom of the women in the room. Especially THIS room, filled with experienced agents who’ve been doing this for decades and have hundreds of transactions under their belts.
•
And refreshingly, nobody is here to sell you anything, recruit you, or ask if you need health insurance. 🤣☠️ (If you’re in real estate, you know.)
•
If you leave with a good idea or two, a new connection, a few laughs, and a gift bag full of things you don’t immediately want to throw away, I’ve done my job!

The Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas “Strut for Childhood Cancer Race” is this upcoming Saturday, March 7th — a cause that means a great deal to Andrew & Steph’s family. As many of you know, their son Oliver is a cancer survivor. They know all too well, the support families receive during treatment can make an extraordinary difference.

As the Lanier Property Group is a sponsor, we’re honored to stand behind an organization that walks alongside families during such difficult chapters. Their mission is close to our hearts, and we’re grateful for the chance to highlight the meaningful work they do.

💛 Because kids can’t fight cancer alone.

A few quotes from my conversation with a guest I wanted on this podcast from the start:

@stephlanier, the leader of @lanierpropertygroup and the founder of @theinspirationlab, is someone I’ve admired from a distance over the years (in a total non-creepy way), and I absolutely LOVED getting to connect with her for this conversation.

Here’s a few things we talked about:

- Depth vs. width in networking and community
- Leadership that doesn’t require being the loudest voice
- The invisible support systems behind successful businesses
- Asking for help, setting boundaries, and letting things go
- Motherhood, partnership, and building something sustainable
- Why honest community changes everything

This episode moves through what it really takes to build a sustainable life and career, especially when you’re juggling work, family, and everything in between.

If this all sounds like it was meant for you, listen/watch the episode NOW on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. P.S. Friendly reminder, new episodes go up EVERY Tuesday!

LIFE BY DESIGN: Can You Spot It?

Yep… I went to THIS networking event with my dress on inside out. 😳👗

Halfway through, I looked down, noticed the seams, touched my collar… tag sticking out for all to see. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Twenty years ago? I would’ve been horrified.
This time? I laughed. I even told the women at my table, “Guess what—my dress is on inside out!” Their reactions ranged from disbelief to surprise… and yet, nobody cared.

✨ Here’s the deeper truth:

Life By Design isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about choosing your response in the moment. It’s about realizing that the seams might show sometimes, and that’s not only okay—it’s human.

I noticed. I acknowledged. I chose my next move. And I did it all without shame. That’s what confidence looks like. That’s what freedom feels like.

✨ Because when you stop living for external approval, you stop letting little moments define you.
✨ When you own your energy, you realize—you get to decide whether something is a crisis or just a funny story.
✨ And when you embrace imperfection, you give others permission to do the same.

So, here’s the question:
👉 What “inside-out dress” moment are you carrying shame for, when you could just laugh, pivot, and move on?

Because trust me… nobody’s looking as closely as you think.🫶🏼

HAPPY DESIGNING!

This is CRAZY (in the best way)… and I’m still pinching myself.
💫

On the drive home from The Inspiration Lab’s 10th birthday on Wednesday, I got a text that floored me:
👉 “I’m all in, consider it done. Let’s double match it.”

An anonymous donor pledged to match every gift up to $10,000 for @childrenscancerpartners

Happy tears. A thousand times yes.

Because here’s the truth, y’all: this was more than a party. It was a gathering of women to celebrate, connect, and make a difference. So of course I was blown away.

And this $10,000 goal, which funds travel for a clinical trial, is deeply personal. Years ago, Oliver was in a clinical trial for epilepsy that required 14 trips to Boston in a single year. We knew what it meant to fight for access, to pay for every plane ticket, meal, tank of gas, and taxi ride, to do whatever it took. That’s why helping families get to clinical trials matters so much to Andrew and me. It’s not abstract, it’s life or death.

Still on cloud nine? Nope. I’m on cloud ten. 💛

When I shook this champagne bottle, the photographer tried to prepare me for the explosion. But nothing could have prepared me for it… just like nothing could have prepared me for the joy of this community of women over the past 10 years of The Inspiration Lab.
•
It began as a simple idea: create a space where women could gather, grow, and connect in every season of life—especially the hard and beautiful ones.
•
Today, we’re hundreds of women strong—and our first venue for this celebration sold out so fast we had to move to Sycamore Bend Estate: breathtaking, unforgettable, and ours for one golden night (and yes, you’ll want to see it).
•
So bring a friend. Bring your coworker. Bring your sister. Bring the woman who needs a night like this. There will be golden-hour magic. Laughter. Connection. And inspiration you’ll carry home.
•
Most importantly, every ticket benefits Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, helping kids and families navigating childhood cancer – a cause forever close to my heart as Ollie’s mom. 💛
•
This isn’t just an anniversary party. It’s the kind of Inspiration Lab night you’ll hear about if you miss it…so don’t. 🫶🏻
•
Join us? RSVP link in my bio ✨ or visit @theinspirationlab

A huge thank you to Kim @spoonfedkitchen and Jean @sycamorebendestate for their generous support in making this night possible…their heart for helping kids and families at @childrenscancerpartners is truly inspiring. 💛
•
And if Instagram let me post more than 20 photos, I would, because this is only a glimpse of the incredible women, moments, and memories we’ve shared over the past 10 years. Here’s to the next chapter. 🥂

Dear Stephanie,

Thank you so much for creating the Inspiration Lab and for the incredible opportunity to serve as the emcee for the “It’s Never Too Late and You’re Never Too Old” conference. Watching you bring this Cinderella-themed vision to life was inspiring, reminding us all of the magic we hold within ourselves at any age or stage of life.

Your commitment to uplifting and empowering women- with the tenets of grace, love, encouragement and authenticity- is a true gift. You’ve built a space where dreams are rekindled and courage is restored, and I am so grateful to be part of it. Your friendship, support, love and leadership add immense value to the ILM community and to my life. Thank you for creating something that has continued to engage and impact in the lives of women here.

Here’s to many more beautiful chapters together!

With admiration, love and gratitude,
Sheri
