Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday! We’re always excited to see so many people smiling and to bond over our shared love of prints and passion for creating access to the arts.

We raised about $10,000 during this campaign to support our programs! AP3 is solely funded by our community. It’s because of you that we can offer the following:

💛Press on Wheels, bringing the arts to the greater community
💛Our year-long Emerging Artist Residency
💛Internship program
💛Professional development and mentorship through our Thriving Artists initiative
💛Keeping K-12 field trips affordable
💛Exhibitions bringing unique voices to the forefront

If you’d like to help us reach our goal of $15,000, you can still contribute to our online campaign. Link in bio or below:

Our young organization is mainly run by volunteers who have dedicated so much of their time and energy to making this place a reality 💛. Places like AP3 become a reality when people come together. We appreciate every person who has helped us get here!!

Kala is an incredible resource for artists and the community!

Kala provides year-round art-making opportunities through artists residencies, exhibitions/public programs, and arts education.

We want to spread the word far and wide about all that we have to offer.

Thanks photographers Lee Oscar Gomez @leeoscarg and Otto Harris and others for documenting Kala in action throughout the year and for many of these images.

To keep on keeping on (experimenting, opening our doors even wider, investing in equipment, facilities and most importantly artists), we have some fundraising to do before the end of our fiscal year.

Thank you to all who have helped so far with contributions to underwrite artists fellowships at Kala, invest in vital art-making equipment, and support the range of art programs at Kala.

We are reaching out to you all to support the work we do in whatever way/amount is right for you.

With the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and other institutional grants way down, we are looking to individuals and alternative ways to support core programs.

Kala’s goal is to raise $400,000 before September 30th while we develop a longer term development strategy for sustainable funding for key programs.

We are getting so close to our goal and have just $6,500 to go! Let’s do this!!

We’re hoping for a big push in the next few days.

All sizes of gifts are welcome and needed.

Link in bio to donate. Thank you!!

Thank you for being a part of this ever evolving beautiful, creative community.

Yesterday’s visit to Kala Art Institute filled me with so much gratitude ✨ I toured the studios, met incredible artists, and connected with donors + supporters who believe in the power of art.

And today… my residency begins! 🎉 Can’t wait to dive in, experiment, and create in this vibrant community of makers.

I had the best day today with my beautiful wife at Hellbent Silversmith in Long Beach, as an anniversary gift we designed & made each others rings with the help of our teacher Oona Bruss, she was a great teacher because she was able to create a very supportive and engaging learning environment for both me and my wife

I love my amazing ring and it will always and forever be a part of me, thank you my love for the best gift ever ♥️ te amo con todo mi corazón y alma
