Earlier this week we headed to @themulwray for a Book Tasting in celebration of the Manifesto Library, which we launched in Porto this year in partnership with Livraria Lello.

The theme of the night was Censorship and we explored four reads that challenged us to consider the freedom that comes from being able to read widely, think freely and question openly.

Thank you to all who joined us ❤️

And a special thank you to The Mulwray for thoughtfully pairing each book with a drink from @respiritedvodka, @hundredhillswine and @avignonesiofficial

Want to join us next time? Make sure you’re subscribed to the Service95 newsletters with your location set to be the first to hear about future events near you.

✨Halfway Through September

➡️Swipe through a little photo dump from a very busy couple of weeks.

I’m still living my wine dream and continuing to build my place within the wine world. Becoming Group Relations Manager has given me another huge boost, while studying for my WSET Diploma is helping me develop my knowledge and take my wine journey to the next level.

Running has taken a slight step back due to injury and concerns about making it worse, so I’ve been focusing more on gym work and keeping active in other ways.

Life is busy, the diary is full, and I’m enjoying every part of this journey. Here are a few highlights from the first half of September.

✨Wine, Food & a Long-Overdue Catch-Up @themulwray

A long-overdue catch-up with my friend @screwtopsandcorks and what a lovely place to do it.

We headed to The Mulwray for an evening of good wine, good food and plenty of catching up, and were so well looked after by @underwood_emma and @james.rt.27 throughout the night.

We worked our way through an interesting selection of wines, with a really good choice available by the glass, alongside some delicious food that the team were trialling on the menu for the first time. The lamb was a particular favourite of mine and paired beautifully with the wines.

What really stood out was the whole experience. The relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting and warm hospitality made it the perfect place to settle in for the evening.

We left very happy, very well fed, and already looking forward to the next catch-up.

Definitely one to visit if you enjoy discovering interesting wines by the glass in a relaxed setting.

12 years on and this is still one of Soho's greats.

Now with a beautiful refurbishment under its belt, the restaurant may look a little different from when it first opened in 2014, but the energy that made The Palomar such an iconic London restaurant is very much still there.

Brilliant cooking, a buzzing counter and seriously good food. It's easy to see why, more than a decade after opening, The Palomar remains firmly on so many foodies' lists of top London restaurants.

Barside on a summer evening, watching the open-fire kitchen - one of the best seats in Soho.

With thanks, this was a gifted meal.
