I wanted to share a bit more about this print.

This print holds so much meaning to me. Since learning about the treatment that dogs and cats often experience in other countries, I've wanted to help. And by supporting and adopting from @thepackprojectuk, I've been able to (even if it's just a little bit).

👉 Please do swipe through to read more. (And swipe to the end for a rare picture of Mavis and Agnes together!)

Posie! Just chilling minding her own business (well actually she was trying to get into her humans personal space but that’s allowed)

But did you know it’s still legal to import fur despite fur farming being banned in this country since 2000? We can’t continue this double standard.

Fur belongs to the animals #FurFreeBritain

The story of how we became Posie and Rosie…

Will and I have talked for a few years about wanting to get a second cat. 🐈

At the beginning of the year we intentionally made it a plan for the year. Money was set aside, the discussion of names begun (little did we know)

Now, at some point (I don’t remember when!) I had started following @thepackprojectukcats on Instagram through @katie_budenberg and @sammys_legacy.

So it happened that one day in February I opened Instagram and up pops Posie. Obvious I fell in love (I think a lot of people did 🤭) but it wasnt her model esq cuteness that made me fill out the application form..

A photo a few slides in that made me say to Will “we have to get her, she has the chaos in her eyes”.

As well as that she was looking for a home with another cat (something I hadn’t seen much when looking to adopt) and reading between the lines about things like ‘her sweet meow’ I knew she’d fit right in.

(Side note the first three days she didn’t meow once and I thought, maybe she wasn’t as chatty as I thought she’d be. On the third day she started talking and hasn’t stopped since 😂 )

I filled out the application form and after a thorough check that we were the right home for her we were approved to adopt Posie! 🥳

And the rest in history.

We can’t thank @thepackprojectuk enough, they were great and do absolutely amazing work. If you’re looking to adopt a cat (or two, or a dog!) then please go check them out.

Oh and having discussed so many names that might match Aslan we never considered we’d get a cat who’s name matched me instead. 🥹

• YOU CAN’T SAVE THEM ALL SO WHY BOTHER?• 🧡🇬🇧🐶🐱

Because for the ones you can save you change their lives forever.

Today Jaffa, Clementine, Freddie, Mango, Loki and Mango the cat arrive in the UK to start the lives they deserve.

Freddie and the two Mangos are all going directly to their adopters. Loki has a month in foster before his adopters can take him and Jaffa & Clementine are heading to foster whilst we search for their forever homes.

A HUGE thank you to the amazing team @carefordogsro for caring for them all so well, and to our team of volunteers who make adoptions possible.

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who donates each month or every time we appeal. We can’t be here to do this without funding, and that all comes from you.

A HEARTFELT thank you to the wonderful adopters and fosters who are opening their hearts and minds to take on one of our dogs and cats. Adopting and fostering is rarely easy, but it is ALWAYS worth it.

If you could adopt head to our website where we have so many dogs and cats waiting for homes.

Or if you could foster a dog currently in UK kennels apply to foster on there too!

We’ll keep you updated on how they are settling in over the next few weeks 🥹😘

I’ve been busy knitting and welcoming Posie into our home!

Finally started a project with my mini skein collection. Starting off with this very springy pattern by @needleandfeather

Working on my CatKnit jumper by @andrearangelknits using yarn I bought a year ago on my birthday from @beautifulknitters

Another I’ve been meaning to cast on for AGES is the Herding Hens socks from @stoneknits and I’m loving how the yarn combo is going!

Then finally I took a break from all the colourwork to bring a thing in my head to life. I’m sure I’ll share more on that at some point. ;)

What are you working on?

FOSTER JOURNEY UPDATE WK6 🧡🐱
.
CoCo and Minnie are truly the sweetest, gentlest, most loving little ladies. They’re purrs are literal healing for your soul ✨ and they absolutely love making biscuits on you. They love company, cuddling up with you and kissing your nose. They also recently met a house guest and welcomed strokes 😻 If you want relaxed, polite little ladies who love affection then apply now! They are so ready for a forever home and if you can’t adopt, then please help them get seen by someone who can. Please love, comment and share their post. They deserve to be chosen 🖤💫

FOSTER JOURNEY UPDATE WK4 🧡
.
Despite multiple vet trips and operations this week the girls have repeatedly forgiven us and blessed us with their love. Can you believe how affectionate they are and they still don’t have a single application?
.
Due to not yet meeting target plus unexpected complications with CoCos spay, we desperatley need more donations. Every kind offering big or small goes further than you realise - fundraiser link in bio 🧡
.
Please share their posts to help them find their FUREVER home, they are so deserving 💕

FOSTER JOURNEY UPDATE WK3 🧡
.
Coco now waits on the stairs to say hello, loves a chit chat (especially if it’s about treats) and continues to throw herself upside down for head rubs. She likes to play and gets occasional zoomies but is mostly a calm, affectionate, chatty little girly.
Minnie likes relaxing in her safe spaces but she can’t get enough of head/chin scritches and tummy rubs! Yes, tummy rubs, that’s how much she has begun to trust 🥹 she’s grown confident enough to eat in front of us and she is starting to play.
The girls will be promoted for adoption very soon and contrary to popular belief black cats are lucky in many cultures - could you hit a double jackpot and be their lucky adopter? 😻😻
.
They are back to the vets tomorrow and the fundraiser is at 66% so please let’s give this another big push! Please do donate or share if you can. Link in bio 🧡
.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported their fundraiser/posts so far, you are real life angels!
