Let’s set the record straight on Candiace’s exit from RHOP…

Hi. Former RHOP producer here that worked on Candiace’s final 2 seasons. 👋🏼

It’s so interesting that Andy Cohen would imply that Candiace’s exit was entirely Bravo’s idea when that could not be further from the truth.

During @therealcandiace’s final season, when we were on a cast trip in the Dominican Republic, I vividly remember staying up and talking to Candiace until 5 o’clock in the morning as she was weighing the pros & cons about whether or not she wanted to return to the show.

She was very much considering leaving the show during that final season. And I also remember chatting with her when she ultimately decided that returning wasn’t worth it to her and her family. So if Bravo didn’t want her to return, the parting of ways was mutual at its most scandalous.

You cannot fire someone who is vocally and openly considering leaving their position.
So this is just another example of Andy Cohen re-writing the narrative after the fact and trying to tarnish the word & reputation of yet another woman of color in an effort to discredit her for not towing the company line. Which he has done to multiple women who have had the courage to speak up about the problematic culture at Bravo. 🌈

Heather Gay from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City told everyone at Bravofest that she doesn't really know how she got her black eye and that her and Jen Shah need to get together to figure it out. Heather is constantly lying and changing her story about this black eye.

Heather has fooled many into believing she is this person of integrity. She is not. She is full of hypocrisy and BS. She led the charge to get Monica off the show for betrayal and lying, but she has done that very same thing. She is very privileged to get to keep her job while others have lost their's.

how real is Real Housewives?

don’t you think it’s about time that a reality tv producer, one who spent half a decade working on all your favorite Housewives & Bravo reality shows, gave you a fully transparent, honest, unfiltered and accurate break down on exactly how these shows are made?

would you like to hear about the very real & carefully crafted formula that is relentlessly recreated, repackaged & repurposed in order to produce every single one of these television shows?

yeah. me too. so, here it is.

and before you say “it didn’t used to be this way!”

yes it did. it has always been a version of this.

and before you say “you’re the reason the shows suck!”

no i am not. i did not invent these producing tactics. i was taught them by my superiors & supervisors at bravo and the production companies. i only executed my orders. i, like every individual producer, was merely a cog in a well oiled and unforgiving machine.

does learning all of this surprise you?
or did you suspect this all along?
let me know what you think in the comments.

and if you don’t believe me, i also encourage you to argue with yourself in the comments. it will never change the fact that you will be utterly, unequivocally & forever wrong, but it will entertain me and for that I thank you.

you can hear me dive even deeper into these uncharted waters in the latest episode of @renegaderainbow - available wherever you get your podcasts. link in stories to watch this episode. 🌈
