I may not have won the first Emmy I was nominated for but it’s okay cuz I still went home with the prettiest trophy. 🏆

But in all seriousness, it felt really nice for our team to be recognized by the Television Academy for all the time, energy and dedication that is poured into making an unscripted television show. I used to stay up late when I was a little kid to watch The Emmys and would fantasize of one day being there. So to walk into that venue tonight as a nominee, it was quite literally a dream come true. So I’m taking a moment of pause to be fully present, acknowledge that acheivement and to say that I’m really proud of myself. Life feels pretty magical right now and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Do you think “Big Words” from a producer makes real housewives less real? #juicyscoop #bts #hollywood #realitytv #bravo @thepatrickmcdonald @renegaderainbow by @thepatrickmcdonald

Juicy Scoop Tuesday! Fake Boyfriends & Production Secrets: Former Housewives Producer Patrick McDonald Spills All! Former Real Housewives producer Patrick McDonald is back, and we are going deep into the wildest behind-the-scenes secrets of reality TV. First, we break down the alarming, now-deleted airport video posted by Milania Giudice showing her in a tense confrontation with Teresa, Gia, and local police, unpacking what really went down and the story behind it. We also get into advice for producers on what to do with Taylor Frankie Paul on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Then, Patrick faces my toughest questions about how production actually operates: do Real Housewives franchises in Potomac, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City really hire and pay fake boyfriends? We discuss why RHOSLC has become top-tier television, how producers assist housewives with restaurant storylines, what happens when a cast member gets demoted from diamond holder to “friend of,” and how cast trips are secretly orchestrated. Plus, we spill the truth on the “Bethenny Clause” and my personal strategy for featuring a business on camera so Bravo can never edit your product out! @thepatrickmcdonald @renegaderainbow #bravotv #realitytv #bts #secret #juicyscoop by @thepatrickmcdonald

Former producer and host of Renegade Rainbow Patrick McDonald was on Bravo We’re Black! We chatted about everything under the sun and this is something I always wondered about. As a producer what did he think about Heather Gay allowing the public to wonder if the production crew had something to do with her infamous black eye mystery on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Do you agree that she should’ve been let go for that?

Stream Bravo! We’re Black wherever you get your podcasts! And be sure to follow @renegaderainbow and @thepatrickmcdonald
