VULNERABLE POST!

GET ON THE ROOF! 🏠

I was NERVOUS leading up to Realtor of the Future!

I had this vision of bringing together incredible people, providing REAL value, and creating an event that would make an impact.

But when you put yourself out there and try something you’ve never done before, those thoughts start creeping in.

What if nobody shows up? What if it doesn’t go as planned? What if I fail?

And man, this past week reminded me of something pretty special.

At NEO Home Loans, one of our core ethos is “Get on the Roof.”

The idea is simple. When you see a teammate who needs help, you don’t just cheer them on from the sidelines. You recognize the need, step up, and get on the roof WITH them!

And that’s exactly what happened for me.

Our PRESIDENT, my BOSS, and my COACH all traveled from out of state to support me and help make this event happen!

These guys have businesses to run, families, and a million other things competing for their time.

They didn’t HAVE to be there.

But they CHOSE to SHOW UP FOR ME!

And I can’t begin to tell you how much that meant.

They didn’t just talk about our ethos. They LIVED it!

And what an incredible event it turned out to be!

Over 60 Realtors and close to 100 people in the room!!

But when I look back, what stands out isn’t just the turnout. It’s the people who got on the roof WITH me and what this experience taught me about myself.

For a long time, I’ve allowed negative thoughts to creep in. Fear of failure, not being good enough, and questioning whether I’m capable of doing the things I feel called to do.

But this event reminded me of something.

I AM becoming someone different. I’m growing. I’m getting BETTER!

I’m proving to myself that I CAN do hard things!

I don’t have to listen to that voice telling me I’m not good enough. I don’t have to let fear make decisions for me.

The very things I’m afraid of doing are helping me become the person God has called me to be!

To everyone who traveled, spoke, sponsored, attended, or encouraged me, THANK YOU!

I’m incredibly grateful for the people God has placed in my life!

Here’s to getting uncomfortable, doing hard things, and becoming BETTER because of it! 🙌

What’s the first question you ask when you call a lender?

For many, it’s “What is your rate today?”

And yes, you should ask.

But what if the lowest rate isn’t the only thing that determines the best plan for you?

I want to know more.

• Are you planning to have children?
• Combining households?
• Starting a business?
• Hoping to retire in a few years?
• Do you expect this to be your home for five years or twenty?

Those answers can shape how much cash you put into a home, how you structure the financing and what monthly payment makes sense for your life.

Your lender isn’t your financial advisor.

But your mortgage payment is likely one of the largest pieces of your monthly budget.

The person helping you structure it should understand how that payment fits into your life today and what you’re planning for tomorrow.

So yes, ask about the rate. Ask about the costs.

But ask this too:

“Given what I’ve told you about my life and my plans, how would you structure this mortgage for me?”

That answer may tell you more about your lender than the rate quote does.

WOW!! What an incredible morning!! 🔥

A PACKED room full of Realtors who showed up ready to learn, grow, connect, and get BETTER!

When I started putting together Realtor of the Future, my goal was simple: bring great people together, provide REAL value, and create an environment where relationships and opportunities could grow.

And man, did this room deliver!!

We talked about AI, innovation, implementation, and something I believe will NEVER go out of style… GENUINE HUMAN CONNECTION!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible speakers, panelists, sponsors, and every single person who showed up and made this event possible!

My hope is that everyone walked away with something they can implement in their business TODAY!

This was about more than just an event. It was about IMPACT!

And we’re just getting started!! 🚀

Grateful doesn’t begin to describe the feeling over the last couple days. This company is so much more than doing loans, it’s made up of some of the best human beings I’ve had to pleasure to not only work with, but create the best friendships with and getting to all be together in person is second to none.

So much fun, collaboration, great content (and more fun) at this years impact summit.

Cheers to what’s ahead 🥂 my heart is full and my post-event depression is kicking in 🥲

Some leaders build companies. Others change people’s lives by believing in them.

Ryan, I don’t think you’ll ever fully understand what you’ve built here or how much you mean to the people who believe in this crazy, beautiful vision alongside you.

Today, as you closed out Day 2 of Impact Summit, you reminded a room full of some of the most talented people in our industry why we’re really here.

And then you let us see your heart.

You talked about the years you spent measuring your worth by your success. About being Hangman, always chasing the win, until you found people who showed you what it meant to have a wingman.

And when you spoke about your dad, you could feel the entire room right there with you.

Because we all want people who would turn their plane around for us. And we all want to be the kind of person who would do the same.

That’s what you’ve been fighting to build.

A place where the Top Guns of this industry, people who could succeed anywhere, choose each other. Where incredibly talented people put their egos aside to chase something bigger than themselves.

Somewhere along the way, this became so much more than a mortgage company.

It became a place where people found their people. Where we learned we don’t have to carry everything alone. Where winning means so much more when you bring your teammates home with you.

Ryan, we know you’ve sacrificed for this vision. We know how much you carry and how deeply you care about getting it right.

But we hope today, when you looked around that room, you felt what you’ve given all of us.

You brought together people who might never have found each other. You gave us something worth fighting for and people worth fighting beside.

When you said, “I want them to feel the strength of all of us, not one of us,” you put into words exactly what makes this place so special.

Thank you for being the kind of leader who leads with his whole heart. Who sees people beyond their numbers and accomplishments. Who reminds us that even the strongest among us need a wingman. 💙

Yesterday I stood in front of a room full of lenders and told them this job is 70% therapy, 30% finance.

Here’s the short version of those 18 minutes:

We can do the math in 20 minutes. Rate, payment, cash to close. That’s the easy part.
But nobody buys a house on math. You walk in, picture your life there, and then go looking for numbers to back it up.

So the job is knowing someone’s finances well enough to put up guardrails, and knowing their goals well enough to tell which option fits their life.

It’s a scary time to buy a house. It’s often also the best time.

People need someone who can talk them through both.

Grateful to the NEO team for the stage.

🔥 Day 1️⃣ of Impact Summit 2026 is in the books, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful.

Grateful for the people behind the scenes who have poured their time, energy, and heart into bringing this experience to life. The planning, the details, the long hours, and the care that goes into creating a space like this do not go unnoticed.

And just as grateful for every advisor, team member, and leader who made the decision to be here. You stepped away from your families, your businesses, and your everyday responsibilities to spend this time learning, sharing, and growing alongside one another. We don’t take that commitment lightly.

There’s something special about being surrounded by people who genuinely want to see each other succeed and believe that, together, we can create a better experience for the families we serve.

Today was a reminder of what makes this community so meaningful.

We still have another day ahead of us, and we’re looking forward to making the most of every conversation and moment together. 👏🏼

💙 Thank you for showing up and making Impact Summit 2026 what it is.

I believe the mortgage industry can do better for the people we serve.

A loan officer can know how to originate a mortgage. Know the guidelines. Quote the rate. Get the loan closed.

But that is only part of the job.

The person making that mortgage payment will live with the financial decision long after we leave the closing table.

They deserve someone who knows how to ask the right questions, explain their options with truth and transparency, and build a financing plan around what they are trying to accomplish.

That takes education. It takes time. And it takes being invested in the outcome for the person sitting across from you.

Last week, I attended HousingWire’s Mortgage Banking Summit in Dallas to listen and learn.

I didn’t expect to be handed a microphone and given the opportunity to talk about something I’ve believed throughout my career.

The borrower is not a transaction.

I’m not the only loan officer who works this way. I know many who do.

Investing time in our clients’ long-term financial success should be the industry standard.

And that’s what the people we serve should expect.

Thank you, @housingwire and @therealryangrant for creating the space for this conversation and for handing me a microphone.

"How's NEO handling all the noise lately?" Only a question asked like a few hundred times lately haha.

And ya know, some weeks - the mortgage industry gives you PLENTY to talk about... doesn't it? 😅

Clearly our leadership team, Chris Ledlie and Ryan Grant, are choosing to NOT be distracted and are handling it just fine on this FUN DAY FRIDAY. 😂

Get it boys!!! 🕺

In all seriousness, regardless of market or media headlines, the strategy and mission here at NEO remains the same. A place where the best advisors are deeply serving families, elite ops teams who consistently improve the entire experience for clients and partners… and a shared belief we've had from the beginning: ➡️ Homeowners deserve better financial advice and stewardship that lasts well beyond the closing table.

Headlines come and go. But NEO? Well, we've got families to serve and lives to change.

Happy Friday!

A mortgage advisor's responsibility shouldn't begin when someone is ready to apply for a loan, and it shouldn't end when they get the keys.

We believe the industry should be working toward a higher standard: financially literate, highly educated, emotionally intelligent advisors who help people make sense of homeownership throughout their lives.

That means being there before the transaction, when families are preparing, asking questions, and trying to understand what is possible.

It means guiding them during the transaction, when the financing itself needs to be handled with clarity and care.

And it means staying involved after closing, when the harder, longer work of homeownership begins.

The goal is for homeowners to know they don't have to figure all of this out on their own.

When an advisor consistently provides education, perspective, and stewardship over time, the relationship becomes bigger than the next mortgage. That is the standard behind NEO's Advisor for Life approach.
