It was tricky, yes! And I didn't realise it till I tried!

Drawing a bird sketch on book paper! Tricky! Who new? Well, probably most of you did 😅

Anyways 🤷‍♀️ turns out for my brain the vertical words wreak having 🤔 probably any word alignment actually 🙃

So, this is a journal page from my (way behind) June garden journal - an Australasian Swamphen

I always have swamphens on my creek, but in the off season I only have a few ... i am wondering if those few are keeping guard for the breeding season?

I love this (by me) handmade journal i am working in, which is actually from the hinge journal @robenmarie project.

I am using it now for the nature Journaling, and bird sketching, of my garden over the following months.

Spent yesterday creating this No-Sew journal. It was the perfect project for a rough day. Creating helps me process life and emotions in a way nothing else can, so I just keep on making. Enjoy the flip through 💙😊

New journal flip through 😍

I made this no sew journal for the June @therobensnest project. I'm happy with the result and will be making more. The page tab binding is such a great way to use up paper scraps!

Not sure whether it's a junk journal, art journal or nature journal, but either way I'll be journaling in it - plus it sits nice and flat!

Crinkly sounding flip through of my #nosew art journal I made in this month’s project for the @therobensnest . I have just started working in it. I have never made one of these before- it was a fun project. Thanks @robenmarie 🙃🙂

Better late than never! My handmade book submission for AYBE May prompt - poetry.

I chose Mary Oliver's poem "When I am among the trees" - it's a favourite 🌳

And to save the trees that offer so much solace, I used recycled chocolate packaging, recycled business envelopes and recycled fabric.

The cover is collaged with run off papers and leaf prints, and the tree imagery is from the @collage.soup book Woodland Wonders.

The book structure is inspired by a @robenmarie project in the @therobensnest

I had lots of fun creating this little book, though at times I was a little 😔

the state of the world and all 💔

Days 28 to 36 in #the100dayproject inspired by @cindymcmath who was guest last month in the #watchlearnplay community when we were focusing on collage. A wonderful artist and so happy to meet her. #dothe100dayproject2026 #100dayswithabc #therobensnest

Thought I’d share the flip-through of a fun journal I made from a lesson inside The Roben's Nest - my favourite art community. I loved combining words into phrases and adding them to random pages. It's called "Words at Play". Hope you like it!

Flip Book made using a tissue box as the cover with run off papers, and mostly mixed media scraps for the inside pages.

This was the project for @therobensnest February project!

I think I'll use this little handmade journal to collect nature bits and pieces - long grass pressings and flowers, that kind of thing. I'll both glue them and stitch them in.

I love recycling materials in my art practice, it totally aligns with artistic philosophy!

I made another quilted heart inspired by the January tutorial in @therobensnest and then attached it to a pocket cut from a pair of jeans. I did some painting and stenciling with paint on the pocket before adding the heart.
These pockets can be used as a gift bag or as home decor. I can see some greenery or flowers in the pocket and then hanging it up.
