The Roben’s Nest will be closing its doors December 31, 2026. By @robenmarie

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Flip Book made using a tissue box as the cover with run off papers, and mostly mixed media scraps for the inside pages.

This was the project for @therobensnest February project!

I think I'll use this little handmade journal to collect nature bits and pieces - long grass pressings and flowers, that kind of thing. I'll both glue them and stitch them in.

I love recycling materials in my art practice, it totally aligns with artistic philosophy! by @therobensnest

@pennylcorbin Flip through of February’s mini-nest project. Discussion re keeping “the good things” for the right project should be stored where we can see them. Loved collecting these pieces I keep holding on to. Thanks #therobensnest and @robenmarie by @therobensnest

@wandahentges I made another quilted heart inspired by the January tutorial in @therobensnest and then attached it to a pocket cut from a pair of jeans. I did some painting and stenciling with paint on the pocket before adding the heart.
These pockets can be used as a gift bag or as home decor. I can see some greenery or flowers in the pocket and then hanging it up.

@wandahentges This is my heart card for part 3 in this month’s @therobensnest Nest Mini Project. I used an embossing folder to emboss a piece of cardstock for the background. This might be my favorite of the 3.

@blinn.art Finally made the January project for @therobensnest (using paper instead of fabric). Going to send this to a family friend who lost her husband.

@angie_garcia_art These puffy hearts💕 were inspired by the January projects from @robenmarie and @therobensnest , but created with a little sprinkle of my own style and playful take ❤️
Where paint, layers, wire, wood, and resin come together, a little rustic abstract charm is born.

It’s been such a joy stepping into another medium and giving myself a creative side break. I’m truly blessed to work with my hands and explore art in different ways.

I hope you enjoy these hearts as much as I loved creating them.
Remember to keep growing love, stay positive, and most importantly—stay humble ✨

@wandahentges Our nest mini project this month in @therobensnest is Fabric Valentine Cards. This is my first card based on the first lesson. My background fabric is cut from one of my batik pieces from the nest mini this past October.

In Jeremiah 31:3 God says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
And He truly does love us with an everlasting love.

@dianalynn.studios The very first handmade art journal :). I had just joined a wonderful art community, @therobensnest , and this was the first project I did. My passion for creating handmade journals started here! I’ll share more of them in the future. Special thanks to @robenmarie for creating such a vibrant art community 💙. And to my sister @lisa.j.nelson for making this project so much fun! by @therobensnest
