1853 studios welcomes you to its first Christmas fair, celebrating our wonderful makers, artists and small businesses. We will be opening our doors and bar to invite you to get into the Christmas spirit with us.

Enjoy a mulled wine or a hot chocolate with plenty of Christmas craft activities for all ages. You can make a Christmas wreath or have a Christmas photoshoot which will be donation based raising money for our studio artist's Richards charity supporting war veterans.

Our gallery will be transformed into a creative selection of artists, makers and stall holders selling affordable handmade items to give something unique this Christmas and support local artists. From ceramics to organic bath bombs and soaps to handmade cards, prints and so much more.

Come and celebrate our studios, with a Christmas day out for all to enjoy.

📅 28th November 11 - 4pm

📍 Mill 2, Waddington Street, OL9 6QQ

Entrance is via the car park, walk to the second set of big shutters and you will see our signed entrance.

Third Space Oldham officially launched on Tuesday!

Earlier this year, I had a realisation and an idea: Oldham’s creatives and businesses would be better served if they could work together. I knew that 1853 Studios would be the perfect place to assemble, so I put the idea on Eventbrite, posted some info online, invited some guests and hoped for the best! Tuesday’s turn out was amazing and since the launch, the feedback I’ve received is that yes, this is a good idea and yes, this is a great space for it!

I set up a podcast studio to chat with our @thisisdeggy from @1853studios, @ianbakersson from the @oldhambusinessnetwork and @miranda.parker90 from @daretoknowtheatre . Thanks to them all for getting involved and to those who attended.

Special thanks and photo credits go to @jamesmeasom

Each month, we’ll be meeting to explore and develop the concept, connecting people with businesses and building a thriving community.

Our next event is on Tuesday 20th October, Mill 2, 1853 Studios, 15:00 -17:00.

That’s it, we’ve launched @thirdspaceoldham

Little fluffy clouds of ideas, sparks, conversations, ideas and opportunities all become possible because we came together to this afternoon. Eternally grateful to all those who attended, blown away by the numbers tbh! Thank you to everyone @1853studios for helping pull it all together and to @jamesmeasom for these fantastic photos. #oldham #thirdspaceoldham #business #creative
