🩷⚡DAY 5 MURAL COMPLETE!⚡🩷

Today we put the finishing touches to the Sarah Harding mural & I am thrilled to finally share the finished result with you all!

5 days of hard graft has gone into this & a good few weeks of prep you guys didn't see. Massive thank you to Bobbi, Dylan & Owyn for being amazing assistants all week, Ian for letting us use his wall & then Rebecca & Shaun at the council for making it happen.

If you head to my website there is a commemorative A2 print of the design available for purchase with a big chunk of the proceeds going to The Christie who cared for Sarah & have also cured thousands of people from this horrible disease including my Dad.

I have plenty of videos I will be posting so make sure to give me a follow if you haven't already

Big Love

Cheers to @bbcnorthwest for getting in touch & inviting me for a chat this afternoon.

It was a pleasure to go on camera & speak about how Vivienne has inspired people from Glossop & how it led me to create the mural.

Here is the clip for anyone who missed it

🔥⚡ MURAL #1 COMPLETE! ⚡🔥

Yesterday I completed the biggest project I have ever done. Honestly I am over the moon with what I have achieved & what I have learned during this process.

Honoring Vivienne Westwood by putting something cool in the town she grew up in has been a mission of mine for the last 12 months & yesterday I managed to make that happen.

Having grown up in Glossop & recently quitting my day job and going full time as a professional artist & musician, I felt strongly about giving something back to the community, and truly believe this mural could help bring more foot traffic to the town and bring attention to the talented art community in the area.

The mural in total took 9 full days to complete including a lot of prep work which The Globe kindly provided their upstairs function room for and was entirely self funded. Looking to the future, I would absolutely love to do more murals around the area if funding were to be provided, hopefully featuring some more local heroes to show off some of the treasures this great town has produced.

Massive thank you to my team for putting in loads of hours helping me with this project. Gaz, Bobbi, Mark, Vizard & Sparks cheers for doing me a solid!

Please share this with your friends & make sure to give me a follow on my socials. I really appreciate all the support you guys have shown these last few weeks

Big Love

Third Space Oldham officially launched on Tuesday!

Earlier this year, I had a realisation and an idea: Oldham’s creatives and businesses would be better served if they could work together. I knew that 1853 Studios would be the perfect place to assemble, so I put the idea on Eventbrite, posted some info online, invited some guests and hoped for the best! Tuesday’s turn out was amazing and since the launch, the feedback I’ve received is that yes, this is a good idea and yes, this is a great space for it!

I set up a podcast studio to chat with our @thisisdeggy from @1853studios, @ianbakersson from the @oldhambusinessnetwork and @miranda.parker90 from @daretoknowtheatre . Thanks to them all for getting involved and to those who attended.

Special thanks and photo credits go to @jamesmeasom

Each month, we’ll be meeting to explore and develop the concept, connecting people with businesses and building a thriving community.

Our next event is on Tuesday 20th October, Mill 2, 1853 Studios, 15:00 -17:00. taken in 1853 Studios by @thisisdeggy

And that's a wrap!

We have just finished taking down the "When I'm Not Titting About On Telly" exhibition by @leighfrancis & I couldn't be happier with what we achieved

Big team effort here within the 1853 Community to pull this off & we absolutely smashed it!

Massive thank you to everyone who made this show happen & Leigh for trusting us with his art for his debut show!

No rest for the wicked though as we set the next gallery show up tomorrow

Nice to get back in the studio for a hour last night. Haven't had a chance to touch this Joan Jett piece for a good few weeks & that's bothered me.
Even though it looks like a mess at the minute it will all come together soon

Stoked the basic background is in & the texture is going on
