The US just bombed Kharg Island.
This isn’t an oil story.
It’s a supply chain story. A food story. A medicine story.
And for me, the founder of @mapcollective, a supply chain traceability platform, two weeks from my own kidney transplant, it’s a very personal one.

Oil prices are skyrocketing. But that’s not the supply chain crisis you should be worried about.

4 months ago, we modeled a Strait of Hormuz disruption with @anadyrhorizon. Today, it’s the top story on every financial news outlet in the world.

The media is focused on crude. We’re focused on what comes next.

Summer (2026), 18” x 24” oil paint on canvas
~
Playing with textures and layers: I love scratching into a layer of paint to create a pattern and reveal the color of the layer below. The abstract grass in this piece is almost evocative of a panel of wood.

The map of consciousness (2025) is an idea created by David Hawkins. It represents the range of emotions we live in as planes of existence. In this paradigm, Love, for example, is exponentially more powerful than courage. And bliss exceeds even that. Which figure do you resonate with?

This piece is ‘A Rorschach test of how either side of the aisle saw 2025’, and is now hanging in the Department of Justice. What a crazy place for it to live now as we go into 2026.

I wasn’t expecting a mic-drop moment today… but then it happened.

At #Crush2025, the Deputy Administrator of the SBA got on stage and said something that stopped the room:

“For food supply and critical minerals, supply chain resilience is our top priority… and we are deploying capital across ALL agencies, not just ours.”
— Bill Briggs, SBA

You could feel every founder, investor, and operator instantly lock in.

Because that sentence means one thing:
The window for exponential growth in our industry is now.

#Crush—masterfully hosted by K Street Capital and the incredible Paige Soya —felt like a catalyst point.

A collision of founders, funders, and thinkers who are quietly (or not so quietly) shaping the next decade of American innovation.

If today was the spark, the next year will be the wildfire.

🔥 Stay tuned. Map Collective has some big things coming in supply chain resilience.

🔥 The biggest barrier to supply-chain transparency isn’t data.
𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕.

After 6 years building Map Collective, we kept seeing the same pattern:

Companies chase suppliers for data…
Suppliers hesitate to share it…
And 80–90% of emissions stay invisible.

𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐃 — 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞.
A free, encrypted, agentic-AI network where suppliers can share operational + emissions data anonymously and automatically.

No chasing.
No portals.
No duplicated surveys.

𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐃 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐩𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 — not company by company.

Because compliance doesn’t scale.
Networks do.

We had a blast on episode 39 of the scope 3 podcast. Check it out in the link in our bio.

While most people are still arguing about whether we can ever get good scope 3 data...

Tara Gupta and Issac Hicks are over here building ai agents, reinventing how visibility and interoperability work together.

Think of this as a glimpse of where the market could be headed...

Map Collective is pushing for a world where reporting is something we barely think about.. and where insights are what drive action.”

Thanks Tom Idle and Oliver Hurrey for the opportunity to discuss the launch of our new system, G.R.I.D. (Global Resource Intelligence Database), the first ever free, agentic ai traceability system for making supplier survey fatigue a system of the past.

I started #mapcollective because it was obvious the old model of supply chain diligence was broken: hundreds of suppliers, thousands of SKUs, millions of data points — all stitched together by humans and spreadsheets.

The old system was never going to scale.
It was never going to get us to climate stability.
And it was never going to meet the regulatory wave that is now here.

Agentic AI is the turning point:🤖🦾
Agentic AI isn’t a chatbot.
It’s an autonomous workforce.

Our agents:
trace supply chains upstream,
monitor risk continuously,
validate every data point,
and generate compliance outputs automatically.

No human can do this at scale. Agents can. 🧩

Adoption is exploding because:
EPR deadlines. EUDR deforestation checks. UFLPA forced-labor enforcement.
CSRD audit requirements.
These aren’t “nice to have.”
They are mandatory — with real fines, real audits, and real accountability.

We are almost 6 years deep and 4 NSF grants and a VC round in, we aren’t going anywhere 💪🏾
