An insight into how I got onto this journey and why I do what I now do. I truly believe healing is so personalised to each person and this will never be a one shoe fits all approach. I highly encourage people to move out of the confines of the box and trial different methods and approaches to find what works best for you.

If you’ve been trying one way and are not getting the results you’re seeking, I guarantee there are other methods out there that will serve you and meet you in ways that align deeper.

I personally have found along my journey that methods that work with the body and the deepest parts of the subconscious have cleared the most. Whether it’s inner child work, EFT tapping, hypnosis or other somatic practices, they have all played a part in my own life and are the reason why I use these methods in the clients I work with.

If you’ve wanted to work together and haven’t been able to get in with me, send me a message and we can chat and see how I can support you.

Sending you so much love as you are on your journey, I know at times it’s not easy, but when you look back in hindsight you’ll see why it was all worth it.

Your gut knows the answer and is often trying to talk to you before you are even willing to listen. Distinguishing fear from intuition can be such a challenge but I find fear comes with more rush and urgency versus intuition feels more like a peaceful inner knowing.

Taking time to reflect with yourself frequently, away from the busyness of life to sit with yourself and listen to what your body is trying to tell you is sososo powerful!! You have got this, listen within and you’ll never be led astray ❤️

I spent such a huge part of my life suppressing emotions. I got so good at numbing the pain away that I didn’t realise I was also numbing the good.

Feeling really is the secret. When we allow ourselves to truly feel (even the things we would rather avoid) we create space for all the beautiful things to also rise. We can’t experience one without the other. It’s all part of the polarity of this magical life.

If you find you’re someone who buries things or ignores sitting with your emotions, I get it. If this can even be the encouragement to take one baby step today to sit with something you’ve been avoiding then that would be such a beautiful thing.

I know it’s not pleasant. But trust me, it is so worth it.

What’s something I’ve changed my mind about completely?

Our intuition is our compass. I conditioned myself to use thought as a strategy to feel in control.

I would always try figure out how life would unfold. I had no faith.

I prided myself on being “self-aware” & “smart” yet this was a persona I used to protect myself from feeling unsafe & powerless.

Credit to @petercrone for a few of his quotes at the end regarding the ego vs soul tension.

Learning how to dissolve survival patterns & shift into allowing more of my ‘being’ to guide me has been a massive shift in the last 6 months.

My experience with god/universe/higher power.

‘God’ always felt resistant to me due to religion & the divisive nature of it.

Regardless, my friend @mitchellvickridge facilitated a session where I traced backed to being a one year old & had a massive release of stored emotions (crying, shaking, full body tingles) and connected with ‘God’.

My body held onto this energy & it was one of the most powerful sessions to truly understand how much our experiences stay with us. I had a deep embodied ‘oh wow’ moment to see the beautiful hidden order in that experience & felt total peace with it. Words can’t explain it.

I did this session during my breakup as I felt this massive unconscious pattern of fearing being abandoned (repeat of 1yo memory) & it helped create an incredible sense of peace of being on my own.

For anyone going through a relationship break up.
Feeling is healing. Can you be with it fully?

For so long, I avoided painful emotions with two things:

1. Numb & suppress it
2. Intellectualise that “I’m good” and bypass the experience

I learnt from a young age through conditioning that my emotions were “wrong” & “bad” so I actively developed my thinking mind to always feel in control of that part of me.

But it’s perfect to have all parts of us expressed, in fact, we need to.

Sigmund Freud said: “Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive, and will come forth later, in uglier ways”

For someone who loves doing “inner work”, I had so much shame around a relationship ending: “what will people think?” & “what does this say about me if I can’t make it work” & “I’m meant to have the answers.”

Brother. All of that is bullshit. Absolute shit. All these thoughts are trying to break my addiction to “being right” & “having answers”.

The fastest way to move on from these emotions is to stop resisting them. To breathe into it, feel it & ask simple direction questions:

“Can I be with this?”

Not for the sake of “growth” or “business” or for any secondary benefit.

Just to be at home with YOU. The part of you you’ll be with for your entire life.

If it was a 7 year old version of you directly in front of you who was deeply distressed, you would embrace them, yet through your own conditioning, when it’s the adult version of you, you run away from that part of you, often unconsciously.

Relationships are a beautiful mirror & in the moments you think it “shouldn’t” have gone that way are often the GREATEST life redirections.

Lean in. “If this was destined to happen, what’s the message for me?”

Intellectualising your patterns is often step 1 for many people actively working on themselves.. yet it’s often the very thing holding them back.. how?

Because it’s being driven by fear, so in order to gain control, we use thought + abstract ideas to predict and protect ourselves from experiencing certain emotions, reinforcing our dissociation & lack of presence -> the cycle continues.

Tomorrow on @timelessmindsetpod we are joined by @martinmcphilimey for episode 209, a sleep and breathwork scientist who helps us understand our nervous system, master our inner world by first learning to BE in our bodies & embrace all parts of ourselves.

A scientist with a very academic + intellectual background who also shares his journey of learning to let go of the fancy concepts to actually remember to live & actively be in his body.

A very powerful episode especially for the intellectuals who love using the pursuit of growth to avoid ‘feeling’ (it’s probably you too if you straight away thought it wasn’t 😉)
