Some of our trainers hitting dynamic work, training the elastic recoil of fascia, the connective tissue that unites your body. They all had pain previously, with @functionalpatterns they’ve developed their capacity to move well without pain.

FASCIA FRIDAY PART 3

Fascia is often overlooked because from it requires a lot more nuance to account for. Why care about connective tissue when we can just count sets and reps and mindlessly do cardio? Considering fascia is what allows us to train intentionally, not habitually.

@leyon teaching another awesome all levels boxing class! We’re doing these monthly and the turn out has been great. Along with our one on one training and membership, boxing is an excellent way to complement your Functional Patterns training. It includes hand-eye coordination, weight transfer and force transmission, which everyone can benefit from. We work boxing with many of our clients once they’ve attained some pre requisite postural fundamentals and strength. Now, our @projectfunction tech gets you there faster than ever before! We’re your one stop shop for all things training!

Most people see us after they’ve tried everything else. If there’s one thing that’s for sure, @functionalpatterns stands out from all the rest. If you’ve already done the yoga, Pilates, CrossFit and are still living with daily pain, you need to come through and learn how to move pain free. We promise it won’t be like anything else you’ve tried before!

As practitioners, most of us were in pain before starting Functional Patterns. Back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain and everything in between. Now we’re able to move athletically without the pain that comes along with traditional fitness methods. In addition, we knew that we would be doing clients a disservice if we continued coaching them on traditional methods that weren’t actually improving their movement and would eventually either contribute or put them in pain. Transverse movement is the hardest to coach, which is why you don’t see it in most traditional fitness.

Great to see our jr trainers showing off their movement gains!

Ringing in 2026 with our team meeting! We’re so excited to announce memberships at our facility along with new technology and our growing team of highly skilled trainers.

In 2025 we doubled the size of our gym, brought in 6 new trainers and added over 10 pieces of new equipment. We’re so proud of the growth we are seeing not only at our facility but with @functionalpatterns and @projectfunction as a whole.

Looking forward to another incredible year of growth and getting humans more functional!

Thanks to @daniel_.morgan for leading the past trainer meeting. He broke down some of his favorite moves to trouble shoot different dysfunctions and shared his thought process.

This is another great example of how we learn from each other and help progress our facilities quality of work. Looking forward to showcasing more of these valuable lessons from our team of experienced practitioners!
