Dad, it has almost been 5 years since you left us and today is your birthday🎂🕊️. The ache and pain of missing you never subsides. The passage of time only makes me miss your memory more. I never stop missing you and wishing you were here with us, but we continue to carry all the love and joy you gave us in our hearts daily. Happy Birthday in heaven Papa, I pray you are with us always; watching your 4 children and 8 grandchildren carrying your torch. Continuing your legacy by always being up for one more adventure, staying curious about the world, going against the grain with your perfect mix of eternal optimism and youthful mischief. You were a maverick Pops, you gave us all a fire inside that will never dim. The grief never leaves, but we carry your love, your spirit, your fire for life, every day in our hearts🙏🏻 I miss and love you so much. And I always will. Love, your first born🙏🏻🕊️

✨What happens in the first 24 hours influences what happens in the first 4 days.

✨What happens in the first 4 days influences what happens in the first two weeks.

✨What happens in the first two weeks sets up your breastfeeding journey.

✨If breastfeeding becomes well established in the first two weeks, it is much easier to successfully breastfeed for the long term.

⚠️If breastfeeding is not well established in the first two weeks, it is like playing catch-up for weeks if not months and often results in early ending of the breastfeeding relationship or a mother “not able to make enough milk” (rarely the case with the right start and support).

❗️It is so important to understand the how to make the early days of breastfeeding work BEFORE you get there. Don’t skip this!

🤯 Is the latch keeping you from feeding effectively? 🤯

Breastfeeding is a journey filled with love, bonding, and sometimes... challenges. But remember, mama, it should NOT be painful!

@trishaoludwig from the @downtobirthshow covers it all in the latest Pain Free Birth podcast episode!

Whether you’re a first-time mom or looking for a smoother experience this time around, this episode is for you! 💪

Trisha shares her experiences on:

Breastfeeding should be a beautiful, pain-free experience for both you and your baby.
