POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was commissioned to capture @apexathlete.official , and I went in with intentionality.

If a job doesn’t look like the work I want to be hired for, it ends up in the archive. So before I picked up a camera, I set the brief for myself: document, editorial, cinematic.

One lens. The 50mm did most of the work. The 16–35 and 70–200 came out when a frame needed them, but the 50 was it.

The right light. I took the 8a slot. Prime light, the whole time.

The real work happened in post. Hours of cropping and color grading turned good frames into intentional ones—a base grade in Lightroom, then a Kodak film stock emulation.

The clarity you bring in shows up in the frames you take out. Shoutout to these killer athletes who served as stunning muses.

This woman deserves a billboard, but for now this post will have to do.

This Saturday, Vendela will be one of 80 women competing at APEX Miami. I have been watching her week after week training for this event and I’m already so proud.

Since day 1, she has been stronger and faster than me and that is what I love most about her. She will always push you to train more and compete often. But she is also the friend, that literally dreams of you hitting your own PRs. It’s rare to have friendships where you can compete side by side and still want the other person to win, and I don’t take this for granted.

Vendela- you give so much to the people around you, and I couldn’t be more excited to return the favor. There’s no one I believe in more than you. Go show them the athlete that you are and were born to be. I’ll be cheering and crying from home. Love you!!

🥈Grateful for it all. Battled our way back to the State Meet and pulled out 2nd place in High Jump. What a great meet and end to the season. I’m going to miss you guys at ARC. Thank you to every single last one of the coaches, teammates, and family members whose overwhelming support has helped mold me into the person I am today. You guys have made this opportunity all that much more special, and I’m so excited to continue my career as a student-athlete at the D1 level with CSU Bakersfield. I can’t tell you how many times I have prayed and worked for this moment. It really is a dream come true. It has been an amazing 2 years and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Go Runners!
