Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who listened and considered “Architecture of Belonging”.

Sometimes music goes beyond the auditory pleasure it provides and sets a narrative for a better world with understanding. Our hope is that Architecture of Belonging connected with you in this way.

The FYC season can be stressful for many artists who are taking this journey by themselves or with small teams but it galvanizes us as a community.

We persevere because we believe and in my opinion our world needs a community of believers who are practitioners of rhythm and harmony to ensure we don’t lose track of what remains most important to us - love, kindness to one another, and a peace through understanding.

With Love
Noshir

The JW Vibe: “Mody describes his relationship with touch in almost spiritual terms. “It’s everything,” he says. “I’m devoted to it, and it’s a ‘yoga’ for me when no one else is hearing me play, practice, or compose.” His compositional guide, he adds, is not the notes themselves but how the notes make him feel.

That philosophy explains why the dynamics of “Architecture of Belonging” are created without simply turning up the volume. A single plucked note can feel exposed; a sustained tone can open a larger space; a fluid run can suddenly accelerate the pulse. His attack changes, his resonance shifts and silence becomes part of the phrasing.”

'With the Current' is een documentaire over een maakproces: een album opnemen op een varende houten zeilboot. Op 15 oktober is de wereldpremière om 14:00 uur bij het @leideniff in het Volkshuis.

@vieffertje (🎤) en Ted Steinebach (🎥+🎬) vertellen erover in https://3voor12lokaal.vpro.nl/artikelen/with-the-current-interview of via de link in bio van @3voor12leiden.

Grateful to take part in the Recording Academy’s Music Advocacy Day 2026 at BMI and meet with Athena Moore, District Director for Rep. Yvette D. Clarke, and Orlando Ross from Rep. Clarke’s office to talk about advocacy for musicians, creators, and working artists. 🎶🏛️

I was especially thankful for the opportunity to share @revenuemusic and the mission to expand the reach of existing public arts funding to 16,600 working musicians and performing artists at venues across NYC to revitalize communities and live music.

So great meeting everyone there and being part of the conversation around how we can better support artists and the ecosystems they sustain!

Jonathan Widran, The JW Vibe:
“On his new single “Architecture of Belonging,” Noshir Mody turns his acoustic guitar into the voice of a soul searching for its place in the world. What begins with an intimate, woody murmur gradually expands into darker resonance, crystalline upper-register flights and increasingly intricate improvisations, the instrument seeming to question, reach, wrestle and ultimately find its way toward peace. Around those questing strings, Dutch vocalist, educator, psychologist and artist-preneur Vivienne Aerts creates an equally remarkable vocal universe of her own, transforming her voice into layers of shimmering harmony, breath-like atmosphere and soaring, almost orchestral color...

...It is here that the piece reveals just how naturally Mody inhabits multiple musical languages. There is the disciplined articulation associated with classical guitar, the improvisational freedom of jazz, the spaciousness of global music and the gradual intensification one might associate with progressive rock. Yet none of those elements feels pasted onto the others. They coexist because they are already part of Mody’s personal musical vocabulary. He says the piece is completely in sync with who he is today. That observation may be the most important key to the recording. His compositional aesthetic evolves because he does...

...“Architecture of Belonging” isn’t about geography or finding a physical place to call home. It’s about connection, vulnerability and the way our understanding of belonging deepens with experience.”

Had so much fun jamming with @noshirmody and rehearsing our song ‘Architecture of Belonging’ - such a great process where both of us are using loops and effects, but creating it all live in the moment. Then Teddy decided to edit these multi layers of film since we had many layers of sounds. 🤓
