The grocery store picnic: the autumn date you can do today 🍂

The rules are simple:
🛒 Grab your favourite person + head to a local grocery store
🧺 You each pick 4-5 small things you’re excited to try
☕️ Pick up your hot beverage of choice
🍁 Find a spot with fall foliage
☕ Watch it come together as the most wonderful autumn picnic

If you’re not sure where to start, I still ran my 5-part plate method through the snack aisle — protein, fat, carb, fibre, micronutrient. And this is what we came up with:
- canned tuna in oil
- olive oil and sea salt crackers
- watermelon
- sweet chilli nut blend
- Kalamata olive spread
- pesto mozzarella potato chips (try this with the olive spread and thank me later)
- shortbread cookies
- cherry sparkling water
- blueberry tea and apple cider tea

Stop waiting for a special occasion. Today is the special occasion ✨

✨ Save this for your next free Saturday
🤍 Send to your favourite person — no caption needed, they’ll get it
➕ Follow if slow mornings and small occasions are your thing

Autumn looks good on Speyside.

As the landscape around Aberlour turns golden, we’re reminded of just how special our little corner of Scotland is.

Day 21: the tea flight — four cups, four pairings, one slow evening — the kind of special night in you deserve.
Lightest to boldest:
🍵 Chamomile + shortbread (@walkersshortbread.ca )— buttery meets soft honey-apple notes
🍵 Lemon ginger + chilli mango (@traderjoes) — sweetness and heat playing off the ginger’s bite
🍵 Peppermint + Oreo ganache thins (@oreo_canada)— mint and dark chocolate, a classic for a reason
🍵 Cinnamon orange rooibos + high protein cinnamon cereal (@fgfarmgirl )— they echo each other like a deconstructed spiced dessert

The why: if a friend came over tonight, you’d do this without thinking — the good cups, the little bowls, something arranged nicely on a tray. This is that, for you. You’re someone you care about; you’re allowed to be a guest in your own evening. And the flight format is slow by design — small cups, one at a time, attention on flavour — the kind of unhurried ritual this whole month is about.

Save this for a slow Sunday 🍵
Send it to your tea person — or your co-host.
Follow for the rest — 30 small things, all September.

#PaidPartnership Back-to-school means getting back into our little routines 📚🤍

While packing Kylie’s lunch, I added a 2-pack of @walkersshortbread.ca Shortbread Fingers for a little treat during her school day. And of course, we had to enjoy a few together too. 🥰

It’s those simple little moments together that make the busy back-to-school days feel a little sweeter. 🤍

Walker’s Shortbread is available on the Walker’s Amazon storefront and at major retailers across Canada. 🇨🇦

A good charcuterie board is all about balance. 🧀🍓✨
These are some of my go-to staples that always make the board a hit:

• Brie, marble cheddar & Boursin Herbs & Garlic
• Ritz, Breton Vegetable, Crunchmaster Original & plain Miss Vickie’s
• Brookside Blueberry Dark Chocolate, Cadbury Fingers & OH HENRY! Bites
• Fresh fruit to finish it all off

Everyone has that one item they refuse to make a board without...

What’s your non-negotiable charcuterie board item? Did I miss one of your favourites? 👇
