10 hours on the road from Semera, you will find the Danakil Depression.

Long stretches of nothing. Dust, heat and an increasingly empty horizon, until the landscape eventually gives way to the salt flats.

This has to be one of the harshest, most brutal environments we have ever been to.

50 degree heats during that day, volcanic rock that goes on for hours, and small communities scattered hours away for the nearest city.

Jeg hader sand, så hvorfor ikke løbe 150 km gennem Egyptens ørken! 🏜️ Better be a pool by the hotel once I’ll be back 👙😂

Jeg elsker udfordringer og mål – og dette er ét af dem! ✨

Midt i november 2026 tager jeg på eventyr i Egypten med 20 ligesindede, gale/geniale mennesker 👯‍♀️
Og der er stadig pladser tilbage, hvis du også drømmer om eventyr, udfordre dig selv og teste, hvad du egentlig er i stand til 🏜️✨🧠⛺️

Day 3 - 55km with 3,300m of elevation gain.

In summary, never ending climbs and descents.

Pure bliss too, apart from Franky’s poor knee.

75% of the route complete. What a privilege it is to spend a handful of days in the mountains eating up long distances and testing the body.

I cannot begin to explain how beyond privileged i am to get another go at the White Desert Ultra with @holistichybrid and @walkwithfran
I did this epic run in March with a torn glute…it hurt, a lot, but we had the amazing Dr Sherif with us all the way. He injected my butt twice a day in order that I move on two feet. This time I fully intend to be injury free and full of Tigger Desert energy.
I would love you to join me. It really is one of the most incredible places on the planet and something you’ll never forget.
Numbers are really limited so please don’t take too long to press the fuck it button and say a big fat yes

From roasting the beans to that first cup, every step is about connection, hospitality, and sharing a moment together.
