The Ethiopian scran exceed all expectations

Probably my favourite African cuisine, I loved the ever changing rotation of fresh vegetables, pulses, stews and more …

Adding another country to my ‘DO NOT TRAVEL’ list

This time we visited Ethiopia which has an infamous reputation for car jacking and kidnappings.

We went out to test the data.

Fortunately, we made it through this INCREDIBLE country with relatively little complications.

That being said, the country is on the brink of civil war and I recommend letting things blow over a little bit before travelling in the Northern Regions.

I sincerely hope that the people of Ethiopia come to a peaceful agreement that will prevent the loss of innocent lives.

Far too many people have died and been displaced over the last year and the people must do everything to stop history from repeating itself

A VERY good morning to my fellow primate in Slide 6

The Gelada monkey is endemic to the Ethiopian Highlands, meaning you won’t find them anywhere else in the world.

Also known as ‘bleeding-heart monkeys’ due to their bright red chests, these monkeys are one of a kind.

They are the world’s only predominantly grass-eating primate with around 90% of their diet consisting of grass.

I used to think expeditions were reserved for the elite.

Something only professional athletes or sponsored individuals could partake in.

Well I’m neither of those things and I have managed to undergo ‘micro’ expeditions all over the world.

Once you have an objective / goal in mind, the rest will follow.

Trust your intuition, budget accordingly and follow your dreams!

Most people think a 150km ultra through the Egyptian desert is reserved for experienced athletes.

Our first November edition sold out and proved otherwise. Spots are now going for our second edition: 11–18 November, 2026.
